Trina Nishimura is an American voice actress known for her extensive work in anime dubbing, primarily with Funimation. Born on August 8, 1983, in Sacramento, California, she moved to Amarillo, Texas at the age of three. Her interest in performance began early; she started participating in community theater at age nine and continued acting through her high school years. After graduating from Amarillo High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. Originally considering law school, she was encouraged by a friend to audition for Funimation, which launched her career in voice acting.

Her first voice role was as Namiko in the 2006 series Desert Punk. In the years following, she built a strong portfolio with a wide range of characters. Some of her earlier notable roles include Nadie in El Cazador de la Bruja, Sohara Mitsuki in Heaven's Lost Property, Shigure Kosaka in KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple, and Lan Fan in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. She also voiced Mari Illustrious Makinami in the Rebuild of Evangelion films and Francesca Lucchini in the Strike Witches series.

Nishimura is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Mikasa Ackerman in the long-running and globally popular series Attack on Titan, a role she has played across all seasons, films, and related specials. Another signature role is that of Kurisu Makise in the critically acclaimed Steins;Gate and its sequel, Steins;Gate 0. In the superhero anime My Hero Academia, she voices the aspiring hero Kyoka Jiro, a role she has also reprised for the series' feature films. Her filmography also includes Chain Sumeragi in Blood Blockade Battlefront, Navirou in Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON, Popuko in Pop Team Epic, Natsume in Deca-Dence, and the young Akito Soma in the Fruits Basket reboot. Her work continues into recent years with roles such as Park Heejin in Solo Leveling and Ehre in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.
