Description
Kyoka Jiro, alias Earphone Jack, trains as a Class 1-A student at U.A. High School to become a pro hero. The daughter of musicians Kyotoku and Mika Jiro, she inherits her mother’s Earphone Jack Quirk, manifesting as elongated earlobes that function as audio jacks. These jacks detect vibrations, emit sonic assaults, and extend meters for combat or reconnaissance. Though raised in a musical household, Kyoka pursued heroism to aid others, supported by her parents’ encouragement to blend music with her heroic identity.

Petite and fair-skinned, Kyoka sports dark-purple chin-length hair with sound wave highlights and sharp onyx eyes. Her evolving hero costume begins with a black leather jacket, salmon shirt, vibration-sensing boots, and red face paint. Later upgrades include forearm amplifiers, tactical headphones, and a prosthetic left ear after losing the original during the Final War. Post-war modifications introduce a sleeveless jacket and mid-length amplifier bands, mirroring her honed skills.

Pragmatic and blunt, Kyoka ribs classmates like Denki Kaminari but fiercely protects allies such as Momo Yaoyorozu, using her jacks to yank back offenders like Minoru Mineta. Beneath her dry wit lies self-doubt about her looks and early uncertainty linking music to heroism. The U.A. School Festival becomes a turning point: leading a band performance for Eri solidifies her confidence, reconciling her dual passions.

Her Earphone Jack Quirk enables vibration detection, seismic disruption via Heartbeat Distortion, and sound-neutralization with Counter-Balance. She strategizes synergistically—channeling Denki’s Electrification during U.S.J. assaults or coordinating with Koji Koda’s insect control during Final Exams. Preferring mid-range combat, she excels in intel gathering and sonic interference.

Academically ranking seventh in Class 1-A, Kyoka refines reconnaissance under Gang Orca and rescue tactics with Death Arms. In the Paranormal Liberation War, her acoustic tracking exposes enemy bases. Defying All For One in the Final War, her resistance ignites rebellion among his stolen Quirks. Despite close-combat vulnerabilities, her tactical creativity proves pivotal in critical missions.

Graduating as No. 30 Pro Hero, Kyoka mentors Eri and sustains her music career. Her journey—from an insecure student to a self-assured hero—epitomizes resilience, merging melody and might. The prosthetic ear symbolizes her sacrifices, while enduring bonds and battlefield ingenuity underscore her legacy as a multifaceted protector.
