Neize is a member of Cooler's Armored Squadron, a mercenary platoon that serves under Cooler within the Cooler Force. He is a tall, brown-skinned reptilian humanoid with large yellow eyes and pointed ears. His physical appearance is distinct among the squadron, and his body possesses unusual elasticity, allowing him to retract his head into his shoulders much like a turtle retracting into its shell. This ability serves as a defensive measure against incoming attacks. Neize is also capable of generating a high-voltage electrical charge from his body, which he can project as an offensive technique known as the Neiz Bind Wave, intended to paralyze or overwhelm his opponent.

Neize’s homeworld is Cooler Planet No. 6, formerly known as Planet Zalt, a world covered almost entirely in water. His race evolved from an amphibious species, explaining his elastic physiology and electrical organ. Despite being the member of the squadron with the lowest power level, Neize is an elite soldier who takes pride in his speed and fighting prowess. He is deeply loyal to Cooler and places great importance on Cooler’s opinions and commands, often dismissing the thoughts of others in favor of his master’s authority.

In the story of Cooler’s Revenge, Neize accompanies Cooler and the rest of the squadron to Earth with the goal of finding and destroying the Saiyan who defeated Frieza, Goku, as well as eliminating any remaining Saiyans. The squadron ambushes Goku and his friends during a camping trip. During the initial skirmish, Neize knocks out Krillin with a single punch, deflects a ki blast from Goku, and inadvertently kicks his comrade Dore while attempting to strike Goku. He narrowly avoids a direct hit from Goku by retracting his head into his body. After the group escapes, Neize joins the others in randomly destroying the surrounding forest to flush out the injured Goku.

Later, Neize intercepts Gohan, who is returning with Senzu Beans to heal his father. Piccolo arrives to protect Gohan, and Neize attempts to evade Piccolo’s attacks by again retracting his head. However, Piccolo’s blast was aimed at Dore, who is struck and killed. Neize then tries to neutralize Piccolo by using his electrical Neiz Bind Wave, successfully halting Piccolo’s movements. Believing he has won, Neize approaches to gloat, but Piccolo reflects the technique back at him, and Neize is killed by his own attack. He does not undergo any character development beyond his role as a loyal enforcer, and his death marks the end of his involvement in the story.
