Description
Meda-Matcha is a minor antagonist and one of the loyal henchmen serving Lord Slug, appearing in the fourth Dragon Ball Z feature film. He is a short, green-skinned alien with a frog-like face, large yellow eyes, pointed ears, small horns, and red lips. His body features long arms and short, stubby legs, giving him an unusual and somewhat comical appearance that belies his true nature as a deadly and sadistic warrior.

Born into Lord Slug’s demon clan, Meda-Matcha is driven by a cruel and arrogant personality. He takes pleasure in tormenting his opponents, often taunting them before launching his attacks. Despite his small stature, he is cunning and ruthless, preferring to weaken his enemies through attrition rather than direct confrontation. His primary motivation is to serve Lord Slug and help fulfill his plan to freeze Earth and turn it into a biological spaceship.

Upon arriving on Earth, Meda-Matcha works alongside fellow henchmen Angila and Wings to locate the Dragon Balls, successfully gathering them within an hour. When Gohan and Piccolo intervene, Meda-Matcha engages Gohan directly. He first uses a barrage of Continuous Energy Bullets to wear down the young Saiyan, then deploys his signature ability—releasing small clones called Medas from his body. These Medas swarm Gohan and gradually drain his energy, nearly exhausting him. When Piccolo shields Gohan from a Full Power Energy Wave, Meda-Matcha attempts to use his energy absorption technique on the arriving Son Goku, but the attack fails completely. Goku swiftly destroys all the Medas and kills Meda-Matcha with a single blow, allowing his limp body to fall to the ground.

Meda-Matcha’s key relationships are limited to his fellow clan members and his master, Lord Slug. He shows no personal development throughout the story; he remains a one-dimensional villain whose role is to demonstrate the threat of Slug’s forces before being easily overpowered by the main heroes. His notable abilities include flight, energy projection through various blasts, the creation of life-draining Meda clones, and an attempted energy absorption technique. After his death, Meda-Matcha makes a brief cameo appearance alongside other villains in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn when the residents of Hell escape to Earth.
