Description
Misokatsun is one of the three Bio-Warriors created by Dr. Kochin to serve Dr. Wheelo in the film Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest. He is an enormous yellow ball of putty with a mechanical interior, giving him a sluggish appearance, but he is actually quite fast and possesses large claws. His most notable ability is his incredibly flexible, rubbery body, which allows him to absorb the force of physical punches and kicks and deflect energy-based attacks such as the Kamehameha. This technique, known as Super Flexible Body (Sūpā Jūnan Bodii), makes him highly resilient against conventional strikes. Misokatsun's name is a play on the Japanese dish katsudon, with the first part possibly referencing miso. As a bio-engineered creation, he lacks a distinct personality or personal motivations beyond carrying out Dr. Kochin's orders to test and eliminate the Earth's strongest fighters. Alongside his comrades Kishime and Ebifurya, he first confronts Master Roshi in Wheelo's laboratory, where he deflects Roshi's Kamehameha back at him. Later, he ambushes Goku outside the fortress, emerging from beneath the ice. Goku's initial punch merely sinks into his body, but Misokatsun is ultimately defeated when Goku uses the Kaio-ken technique to accelerate through him, stretching his body beyond its limits and causing him to burst. Misokatsun has no further character development, and his role is limited to that of a mid-level obstacle for the heroes. He later makes a brief cameo appearance in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn among the escaped residents of Hell.
