Description
Connor Kluff is a young Letter Bee who works for the Bee Hive, the central postal service of the land of Amberground. He first appears while escorting the protagonist, Lag Seeing, to his Letter Bee examination. Connor is known for his regular deliveries to the town of Cambel Litus as Lag was growing up, and he seems to be popular with the townspeople he serves.

Physically, Connor has black hair and black eyes, often depicted as being closed. He has a roundish, plump build, which is a direct result of his most defining characteristic: a hearty, insatiable appetite. Connor has virtually no self-control when it comes to food and will eat anything edible placed in front of him. This love of food leads him to frequently borrow money from his fellow Bee, Zazie, a habit that greatly annoys his friend. Connor also tires easily, but his friendly and approachable nature makes him a welcome presence.

As a Letter Bee, Connor is a supportive and reliable colleague. He acts as a guide for Lag, showing the newcomer around the capital city of Yuusari and accompanying him on important deliveries. Despite his cheerful exterior, Connor is sensitive to the feelings of others. He confesses to Zazie that he could not bring himself to tell Lag about the disappearance of Gauche Suede, Lag’s idol, because he knew it would break the younger boy's heart.

Connor’s role in the story expands as he participates in missions against the Gaichuu, the giant metallic insects that feed on human hearts. He travels with Lag to the town of Honey Waters to search for information on the missing Gauche. During this mission, he is captured but manages to escape with the help of his dingo. He also plays a part in events at the Veritably Abbey, where he falls in love with a girl named Sunny, who later becomes his girlfriend. Connor’s kindness is particularly evident here, as he helps Sunny recover some of her heart and stays by her side when she is in danger.

Connor’s partner and dingo is a hound dog named Gus. Unlike many dingos that focus on speed or combat, Gus is noted for being skilled at tunneling. This practical ability complements Connor's own fighting style. In battle, Connor uses a Spirit Amber attack known as the Heart Landmine, also called the Yellow Bomb. He performs this technique by setting shards of his own Appetite on the ground like landmines and then igniting them under a Gaichuu. As he gains experience, he develops a more powerful version of this attack called Kibaku Max.
