Hisayoshi Suganuma is a Japanese voice actor born on September 30, 1978, in Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent management firm Aoni Production. Standing 172 cm tall and weighing 53 kg, his blood type is O. His journey into voice acting was inspired by watching the anime Mobile Suit Victory Gundam. He is a graduate of the 18th term of Aoni Juku, the training school affiliated with his agency. Suganuma made his debut in 1998, with his first role being a Dark Elf in the anime series Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. He is known for his ability to portray both young boy and young adult characters with a powerful vocal delivery.

One of Suganuma's most prominent and long-running roles is Atsushi Kitamoto in the beloved Natsume Yujin-Cho series, also known as Natsume's Book of Friends. He has voiced this character across multiple television seasons, including Natsume Yujin-Cho Go, Natsume Yujin-Cho Roku, and various OVAs and films such as Natsume Yujin-cho the Movie: Ephemeral Bond. This role represents a significant recurring collaboration in his career.

His other notable anime roles include Rando Furukata in D_Cide Traumerei the Animation, Kong Que in Voice of Fox, Mujiro in Agriculture Angel Baraki, Shiro Kikuchihara in World Trigger, and Octowing in Dochamon Junior and its sequel.
