Nayuta Sakuragi is a student in the prestigious Kuge course at Houjou Academy, where elite students from wealthy backgrounds are designated as "MASTERS." As a MASTER, he designates a "HONEY" from the normal course students for support until graduation. His chosen HONEY is Genjo Kuki, an intelligent and deeply loyal male student who has served Nayuta since kindergarten, resulting in a remarkably close and enduring relationship characterized by mutual care. Genjo maintains long hair specifically because Nayuta once touched it; as Genjo can't manage tying it himself, Nayuta frequently performs this task, symbolizing their bond and interdependence.

Nayuta shares a longstanding childhood friendship with fellow Kuge course students Kai Renge and Kayaka. He often engages playfully with Kai, using the nickname "Yuzu-yuzu" for Kai's HONEY, Yuzuru Hagino, and consistently shows curiosity about the evolving relationship between Kai and Yuzuru. Throughout the series, Nayuta demonstrates loyalty and protectiveness toward his close friends. He actively involves himself when external threats, like the schemes orchestrated by another Kuge student, Chihaya Yurioka, endanger Kai and Yuzuru's relationship, working to uncover Chihaya's manipulative plans and safeguard Yuzuru. His personality is marked by a playful, sociable demeanor; he enjoys games, lighthearted interactions, excels in sports, and maintains a generally energetic presence. Physically, he has short violet hair and ochre eyes, typically seen in the Houjou Academy uniform.
