Rando Furukata is a second-year high school student living on Yura Island. He possesses black short hair and distinctive purple eyes. His standard outfit is a school uniform: a white sleeveless shirt layered over an orange t-shirt, paired with dark grey plaid pants. He accessorizes with red and white suspenders featuring gold details and consistently wears a watch on his left wrist. In battle, he wields a distinct red sword.

Personality-wise, Rando is fundamentally weak-willed and cowardly. Yet, he can summon resolve when absolutely necessary, exemplified by his own statement acknowledging fear but recognizing he must act anyway. His abilities as a "Knocker-Up" awakened after an encounter with Eru Amami, plunging him into conflicts against beings known as the Weird.

Following an event that pulled him into an alternate reality where he witnessed a horrific murder, Rando became involved with friends in investigating unnatural incidents occurring on the island. This involvement directly led to his designation as a Knocker-Up. Outside of combat, he demonstrates skill in drawing.
