Mare Bello Fiore is a dark elf and one of the twin Floor Guardians of the Sixth Floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He is the younger twin brother of Aura Bella Fiora and was created by the Supreme Being Bukubuku Chagama. In terms of appearance, Mare looks like a young child with dark skin, pointed ears, and golden hair. He has heterochromia, with one blue eye and one green eye. His clothing consists of a blue dragon-scale leather outfit covered by a white and gold vest bearing the emblem of Ainz Ooal Gown, a forest-green leaf cloak, a short white skirt, and an acorn necklace that emits a silver glow. He carries a twisted black wooden staff and wears white silk gloves.

Mare has a shy and cowardly personality, in stark contrast to his outgoing and assertive sister Aura. He frequently stutters when speaking and adopts a subservient demeanor in conversations, a trait designed by his creator to reflect the belief that a younger brother should defer to an older sister. Despite this timid exterior, Mare is fiercely loyal to Ainz Ooal Gown and carries out his duties without hesitation, even when those duties require cold-blooded actions. His outward shyness does not diminish his competence or his willingness to protect Nazarick at all costs.

As a high-level magic caster, Mare specializes in druid-type magic with a focus on earth and nature manipulation. He is capable of casting powerful spells that can alter the terrain, such as creating earthquakes, controlling clouds and weather, and summoning streams of lava. He can also cast protective and healing spells, including high-level divine magic like Nature's Shelter, which creates a safe hiding place. His abilities make him especially effective in wide-area annihilation, and he is considered to have the second highest combat power among the Floor Guardians, on par with Shalltear Bloodfallen in some respects. He also has the ability to summon two high-rank dragons, which are rare and powerful creatures.

Mare's role in the story is to guard the Sixth Floor of Nazarick alongside his sister. He participates in various battles and missions, often using his magic to reshape the battlefield or eliminate large groups of enemies. His relationship with his sister Aura is one of close cooperation, with Aura taking the lead in many situations while Mare follows her direction. He holds deep respect for Ainz Ooal Gown and sees him as a leader and father figure, which motivates him to improve and take his responsibilities more seriously over time.

Throughout the series, Mare shows gradual development, becoming more confident and capable in his role. While he remains timid in ordinary situations, he shows unexpected resolve and determination during critical battles. His growth is largely tied to his desire to serve Ainz well and to prove himself as a reliable guardian of Nazarick.
