Description
Nove Nakajima is a combat cyborg who was originally one of Jail Scaglietti's Numbers, created as a mass-production model. In her earliest appearances, she struggled with self-identity and saw herself purely as an instrument of war, believing that defeat was unacceptable. After the events of the JS Incident, she was adopted by Genya Nakajima along with several of her fellow Numbers, officially taking the surname Nakajima and becoming part of his family. By the time of ViVid Strike!, she has undergone significant personal growth and now serves as the young president of Nakajima Gym, a sports gym she founded in Midchilda Central 22nd. She lives alone in an apartment near the gym and takes in Fuuka Reventon, allowing the struggling girl to stay in a spare room and watching over her with care.

Nove's personality is described as friendly, gentle, and approachable. She is a responsible and caring figure who helps others whenever needed. However, she also displays a quieter, more shy side in ViVid, especially when referred to as a master or combat instructor. Despite her gentle demeanor, she can be firm when necessary, guiding her students with both kindness and strictness. Her earlier brash, pushy, and hotheaded traits from StrikerS have mellowed, reflecting her journey from a weapon of war to a nurturing coach.

Her primary role in ViVid Strike! is as a martial arts coach and mentor. She teaches Strike Arts, a Modern Belka martial art, and has obtained instructor qualifications. Her most notable student is Vivio Takamachi, but she also trains other young fighters. As the gym's president, she oversees the training of athletes and supports their development. Nove's combat abilities stem from her cyborg enhancements and her mastery of Strike Arts. She wields the inherent equipment device Jet Edge and specializes in an offensive fighting style that relies on high-speed movements and powerful kicking attacks. Her magic system is Modern Belka, and she is a skilled and experienced combatant.

Nove's key relationships include her adoptive father Genya Nakajima and her many sisters, such as Cinque, Dieci, Ginga, Subaru, Wendi, Sein, Otto, and Deed. Among her students, she has a particularly close bond with Vivio and serves as a guiding influence. Her relationship with Fuuka is central in ViVid Strike!; she provides the girl with shelter, training, and emotional support, acting as a stabilizing presence in Fuuka's turbulent life. Throughout the series, Nove's development is marked by her transition from a former Number who once questioned her own humanity to a confident and compassionate leader devoted to improving the lives of others through martial arts.
