Description
Avrora Florestina is a significant character introduced in the anime Strike the Blood II, where she is revealed to be the original Fourth Primogenitor and the twelfth Kaleid Blood. Her origins are artificial; she was created as one of twelve humanoid Kaleid Bloods, forged from the divided essence of the Fourth Primogenitor. She was entrusted with guarding a mysterious and powerful entity known as the Root. Her name, meaning "dawn" and evoking the Sleeping Beauty legend, was given to her by a woman named Liana Caruana, who found her in a state resembling a sleeping princess.

In terms of appearance, Avrora is a delicate-looking girl with long blonde hair that reaches her legs and azure blue eyes. Her personality is initially defined by a profound sense of fragility and hesitation. She is deeply reluctant to unleash her immense vampiric power, haunted by its catastrophic potential and the destruction it could cause. This makes her a tragic figure, aware of the danger she represents.

Her role in the story is intrinsically linked to the protagonist, Kojou Akatsuki, and his sister, Nagisa. Before the events of the series, Avrora was sealed within ancient ruins known as the Fairy's Coffin. When the Black Death Emperor Front attacked the ruins, Kojou used his own body to shield both Nagisa and Avrora from a hail of bullets, nearly dying in the process. Moved by his courage and selflessness, Avrora saved his life by giving him her fourth and fifth ribs, which made Kojou her blood servant and forged an unbreakable bond between their destinies.

The entity known as the Root later awakened and began to possess Nagisa, hunting down other Kaleid Bloods to consume them and causing mass chaos. To stop the Root's rampage, Avrora merged with the entity after it was drawn out of Nagisa. She then transferred her authority as the Fourth Primogenitor to Kojou, deeming him a worthy successor. She ordered him, as her blood servant, to destroy her along with the Root using a ritual stake. However, just before she perished, Nagisa managed to preserve Avrora's fading consciousness within her own body, creating a symbiotic sisterly bond between them. In this state, Avrora's consciousness resides within Nagisa, and the two come to care for each other as sisters.

Her key relationships define much of her character arc. Her bond with Kojou is central, evolving from that of a master to her blood servant into a deep mutual affection. He is captivated by her altruism and tenacity, while she grows devoted to him as her successor. Their relationship ultimately matures, and she later becomes his wife. She also shares a protective and caring symbiosis with Nagisa Akatsuki, who becomes a sister-like figure to her. Additionally, she has a known past connection with Dimitrie Vatler, who has proclaimed feelings for the original Fourth Primogenitor, though the exact nature of this relationship is ambiguous.

Avrora possesses formidable abilities as a vampire, including supernatural strength, speed, and virtual immortality. Her most notable power is her command over Alrescha-Glacies, her twelfth familiar, which takes the form of a glacial mermaid or a siren-mermaid combination. This familiar possesses the terrifying ability to decrease temperatures below absolute zero, granting her control over sub-zero frost. She is also able to use the other familiars of the Fourth Primogenitor, which include entities that control light, gravity, fire, sound, and even a familiar capable of rewinding time. Following her revival, Avrora no longer possesses her original Kaleid Blood powers but retains control of her twelfth familiar. After her original doll-like body was destroyed, her consciousness was transferred into Hektos, a former familiar.
