She is affiliated with the talent agency Style Cube and the record label Pony Canyon for her music career. Ishihara began her entertainment career in 2008 as a member of the training group HAPPY! STYLE Rookies. She made her professional voice acting debut in 2010 with a role in the anime series Maid-sama!.
