TV-Series
Description
Aladdin is one of the central protagonists of the series and is established as one of the four Magi of the current era, a powerful magician chosen by the rukh. His background is extraordinary, as he is the son of King Solomon and Queen Sheba from the destroyed world of Alma Torran. He was raised in the Sacred Place by his djinn companion, Ugo, before being sent to the current world with the mission to fight the organization Al-Thamen and prevent the same tragedy that befell his original world from occurring again.
Physically, Aladdin is depicted as a young boy with a small, short figure. He has medium-long blue hair with bangs that stop at his eyes, large blue eyes, and a long, thin braid extending down his back. His typical attire consists of a small blue open vest with bandages wrapped around his chest, long puffy white Arabian pants, and he is usually barefoot. He wears a distinctive magic turban on his head, which he uses to fly, with a ruby set on the forehead. He always carries a golden flute around his neck, which serves as his ex-metal vessel and the home of Ugo, as well as a staff that he uses as a focus for his magic.
Aladdin's personality is a blend of childish innocence and surprising wisdom. He has a kind and cheerful nature, which allows him to make friends easily, a trait he deeply cherishes after spending most of his early life in isolation with only Ugo for company. He is selfless and deeply loyal, demonstrating a fierce determination to become stronger specifically to protect his friends. He does everything in his power to defend them, even at great personal risk. Despite his youth, he is remarkably wise and insightful for his age, often offering sound advice and remaining calm and level-headed in dangerous situations to formulate plans. He is also very eager to learn, showing great enthusiasm when studying magic. However, he also has notable flaws; he is quite naive about the workings of the world due to his sheltered upbringing, and he possesses a perverted streak, often taking advantage of his cute appearance to grope women with large breasts. Beneath his cheerful exterior lies a secret feeling of loneliness, stemming from his awareness that he is different from others as a magician and, more profoundly, as a fourth Magi who was never meant to exist.
His primary motivation is to help and protect his friends, which drives him to seek greater power and understanding. This goal directly leads his actions in The Kingdom of Magic, where he decides to part ways with his companions Alibaba and Morgiana to enroll in the Magnostadt Academy of Magic. He recognizes that each of them has their own shortcomings to overcome and that they need to grow individually. His role in the story of this season centers on his time at the academy, where he learns to refine his magical abilities, navigates the complex politics of a nation of magicians, and confronts the morally ambiguous leadership of Magnostadt's ruler, Matal Mogamett.
Key relationships are central to his character. His friendship with Alibaba Saluja is a foundational bond, as Alibaba was his first true friend in the world. He also shares a strong, protective bond with Morgiana, a former slave he helped free. Ugo remains a constant and vital companion, serving as both a protector and a source of power. During his time in Magnostadt, he forms significant new friendships, particularly with Titus Alexius and Sphintus Carmen, which challenge his understanding of life, magic, and prejudice.
Aladdin undergoes considerable development throughout the season. He is described as being childish at the outset but clearly growing up, becoming much wiser and more skillful in combat as he applies his newfound experiences. As more of the world's secrets are revealed, he begins to struggle with his sense of right and wrong, facing complex moral dilemmas that blur his perception of good and evil. He becomes dedicated to becoming stronger, not for personal glory, but for the sake of his friends.
As a Magi, Aladdin possesses a vast and versatile array of notable abilities. He can see and manipulate the flow of magoi and rukh. He is classified as a Red Magician, specializing in fire and heat magic, but he demonstrates proficiency in multiple types, including water, wind, light, lightning, gravity, and sound magic. He is also capable of creating composite spells by combining different magical types. His signature defensive ability is the Borg, a powerful, passive barrier made of rukh that blocks physical and magical attacks. After his training in Magnostadt, he learns to use gravity magic and amplifies it using the ruby from his turban. One of his most powerful techniques is Solomon's Wisdom, which allows him to connect to the Sacred Palace and access all the information stored in the rukh, as well as purify black rukh. He can also summon and fight alongside his djinn, Ugo, a formidable entity that can emerge from his flute.
