Description
Ram is a CPU Candidate of the nation Lowee in the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise and one of the two White Sisters, alongside her twin sister Rom. She is the younger twin sister of the CPU Blanc, and together the three sisters form Lowee's royal family. Her name is derived from RAM, or random access memory, which fits the franchise's computing theme and complements Rom, whose name references read-only memory. Design-wise, Ram has a small childlike build with pale pinkish-white hair and red eyes, and she wears a white and pastel outfit with fur trim that reflects Lowee's snowy setting. In her CPU Candidate form, her clothing becomes more ornate and armored, and her appearance gains small wing-like accessories that convey her goddess lineage.
Ram's personality is the more energetic and assertive half of the twin pair. She is lively, confident, blunt, and mischievous, with a tendency to tease others, give people rude nicknames, and argue with her older sister Blanc. She uses a tomboyish speech style, and her restless nature often turns ordinary situations into chaotic comedy. Despite her troublemaking behavior, she is not malicious; her teasing is playful rather than cruel, and she has a strong protective side, particularly toward Rom. Ram acts as the leader of the twin pair, speaking for both of them and stepping forward when Rom is scared or in danger. She genuinely cares about the happiness of the people close to her, and her affection shows through actions more often than words.
Ram's primary motivation is to support her family and her nation. As a CPU Candidate, she seeks to grow into a worthy guardian of Lowee and to protect it in Blanc's absence. Her more impulsive approach to problems means she often prefers direct action or playful traps over careful negotiation, but her heart is in the right place and she dislikes injustice. In several of the franchise's main stories, she and Rom are captured and corrupted by the Deity of Sin, which forces the protagonists to rescue them and restore Lowee's share. These events test her and give her the chance to prove that the Candidates are more than just children, showing that she is capable of courage and sacrifice when it matters.
Her most important relationship is with Rom, her twin and closest companion. Ram is the louder and more decisive of the two and serves as Rom's emotional anchor, defending her fiercely and cheering her up in her own blunt way. Her relationship with Blanc is built on constant bickering, as Ram enjoys provoking her hot-tempered sister, but underneath the arguments there is genuine respect and affection, and she looks up to Blanc as a protector. Among the other CPU Candidates, Ram often teases Nepgear for being gentle and overly responsible, while she treats Uni as a friendly rival. Her interactions with Neptune typically devolve into over-the-top banter, since Ram finds Neptune silly and Neptune happily teases her back.
In terms of development, Ram gradually shows a more responsible side as the stories progress. While she remains playful and mischievous, her experiences protecting Lowee and supporting Rom reveal a deeper loyalty and maturity. She proves herself capable of working alongside the other goddesses in serious battles without losing the youthful energy that defines her.
As a CPU Candidate, Ram draws power from the Shares of Gamindustri, allowing her to transform and fight monsters, corrupted CPUs, and other threats. She is fast, agile, and relentless in combat, favoring an offensive and direct fighting style. She is primarily a physical attacker but has access to magical moves as well, making her a versatile fighter. Her signature strength is her synchronization with Rom, and together the twins can unleash powerful combination attacks that are both effective and visually playful. Her fighting approach reflects her personality: quick, bold, and always ready to charge in.
