Komari Kishigami is a second-year student at Kyoto Fushimi High School and a regular member of its bicycle racing club, having joined the team after meeting Akira Midousuzi during middle school. He has jaw-length blue hair with pink streaks that he holds back with a thick headband, and his narrow eyes widen dramatically when he becomes excited. Kishigami initially appears calm, but he grows intensely enthusiastic when he encounters what he considers good muscle, and he is known for giving massages and for his ability to judge the quality of muscle simply by touching it. This skill with his hands is a notable ability that sets him apart, and it is through this talent that he is introduced as a new member of Kyoto Fushimi who specializes in massage. During a scouting trip with Midousuzi to observe the new Sohoku team, he meets Sakamichi Onoda and is immediately shocked by the state of Onoda’s muscles, a moment that hints at deeper layers to his character. Kishigami later replaces Hironishi as Kyoto Fushimi’s sixth competitor in the Inter High, taking on a key role in the competition. His riding style is aggressive and risk-taking, often pushing himself to the limit, and he competes fiercely in sprint battles, particularly against Hakone Academy’s Izumida in the Glory Line arc. Despite his competitive nature, he is loyal to his teammates and shows respect for his opponents. His personal journey involves learning to accept himself, a development that mirrors his growth as a cyclist and member of the team.
