Veldora Tempest, titled Storm Dragon, stands as the fourth eldest of the five True Dragons. He embodies chaos and governs wind, water, and space. Born with colossal power, he historically unleashed destructive rampages across the world to combat boredom, provoking conflicts with entities like the vampire sovereign Luminous Valentine, who nurses enduring resentment toward him. Three centuries prior to the main timeline, the hero Chronoa sealed him within the Infinite Prison barrier in Jura Forest, triggering global power imbalances. His confinement lasted until encountering Rimuru, a slime who entered his cave. They forged an immediate bond: Veldora named the slime Rimuru and shared his surname Tempest, symbolizing their pact. To bypass the seal, Rimuru absorbed Veldora using the Predator skill, storing him internally while seeking permanent release. During this period, Veldora accessed Rimuru’s memories, developing an obsession with manga—which he reveres as "sacred texts"—and befriending the flame spirit Ifrit, later named Charys, who became his apprentice. After nearly two years, Rimuru’s evolved powers facilitated Veldora’s revival. Using a body double from Rimuru, Veldora incarnated into a human form: over two meters tall, muscular, with blond hair, golden eyes, and zigzag markings beneath each eye and on his arms. He typically wears black pants, armored boots, and a black-and-red cape. This vessel suppresses his aura, presenting him as a slightly intimidating yet handsome youth. Post-revival, a Soul Corridor linked him to Rimuru, enabling power-sharing and functional immortality—Veldora persists as long as Rimuru lives. Personality-wise, Veldora is boisterous, excitable, and socially inept, masking shyness with boasts. He intimidates others unintentionally through blunt requests. Exposure to Rimuru’s memories and life in Tempest cultivated greater patience and analytical thinking. His loyalty to Rimuru as an equal and sworn friend is absolute, crediting Rimuru for ending his loneliness. He fears his elder sisters Velzard and Velgrynd due to past torment but respects his eldest brother Veldanava for protection. Veldora wields immense magical energy and dominion over wind, water, and space, deploying attacks like Death Wind, Black Thunder, and Ruin Tempest. After revival, he gained the Ultimate Skill Nyarlathotep (Lord of Chaos), enhancing him with thought acceleration, analysis, probability manipulation, parallel existence, space-time control, and multi-dimensional barriers. He innovated combat styles like Veldora-Style Martial Arts, inspired by manga. His resistances nullify physical, elemental, spiritual, holy-demonic, and status-based assaults. In Tempest, Veldora serves as the Jura Tempest Federation’s guardian deity. To manage excess energy, he dwells in an underground dungeon as its final challenge. He aids research, trains warriors, and displays unexpected skills like cooking—notably operating a takoyaki stand during festivals. He views Rimuru as his closest friend and equal, considers Milim Nava a niece, maintains contentious ties with Luminous Valentine, and bonds with the fairy Ramiris over shared manga interests. Veldora frequently engages in comedic antics: misnaming Luminous, misunderstanding Rimuru’s skills like Great Sage, and mimicking manga or video-game techniques in battles. Unaware of his actions’ broader impact, he often disrupts others’ plans unintentionally. Despite his power, childlike enthusiasm and evolution into a protective, eccentric figure define his role in Tempest.
