Nicolas Matthys is a Belgian actor born on September 17, 1985, in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve. He is a graduate of the Conservatoire Royal de Mons and has been active in the field of dubbing since 2010, lending his voice to numerous characters in films, television series, and animated programs.

Matthys is recognized for the power and depth of his vocal performances, often portraying intense and memorable characters with a deep, powerful, and instantly recognizable voice. His extensive voice work includes a wide variety of roles in anime. He is known as the French voice of Ken Ryuguji, also known as Draken, in Tokyo Revengers and as Doppo Kunikida in Bungo Stray Dogs. He has voiced multiple characters in the long-running series One Piece, taking on the roles of Buggy the Clown, Shanks, and Charlotte Katakuri. His other prominent anime roles include Guts in Berserk: The Golden Age Arc, Mamoru Takamura in Hajime no Ippo, and Byakuya Ishigami in Dr. Stone.

Beyond these, his career encompasses a vast range of characters across different series. He has voiced Flazzard in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Helios in a Metal Fight Beyblade film, and Milo in Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō.
