Description
Jegal Taek, alias Charisma Jae Kal-Taek, hails from the Meridional Gyeongsang Team. His mother, Heo Gyeongran, pawned him off in childhood to settle debts. Adopted by the J.G. Group chairman, he was indoctrinated with a "might is right" philosophy, equating power and wealth with the right to family and love, while dismissing the powerless as "losers." This forged his violent worldview.

Demonstrating exceptional combat skills early on, Jegal Taek decisively defeated Gang Manseok during a middle school excursion, hospitalizing him and attracting the infatuated attention of witness Yun Taesu. Later, in a martial arts tournament, he won by breaking the leg of Park Seung-Ah's sister. He then attacked Park Il-Pyo from behind with an iron pipe. Although technically victorious, Taek considered this a personal defeat, fueling an obsession with overpowering Il-Pyo. After murdering his adoptive father on his deathbed, Taek inherited the family fortune and allied with Sang Man-Duk, who likely provided him the charyeok "Greed."

Taek exhibits an arrogant, violent personality, labeling opponents "trash" and instilling fear through brutality. He holds contempt for his own team and dismisses most as "losers." The sole exception is Park Il-Pyo, whom he regards as a fellow "savage animal" and his only worthy rival due to their unresolved conflict.

Ranked among the nation's top three fighters, the "3 Emperors," Taek possesses superhuman strength, agility, endurance, and speed, amplified when his powers awaken. He employs technique mimicry, copying styles such as Jin Pum-Gwang's "The Art of the Labourer," Go Gam-Do's Tai Chi, and attempting Jin Mo-Ri's Renewal Taekwondo.

His primary power stems from charyeok (Borrowed Power). His signature ability is Megalodon, summoning an ancient shark to attack with teeth or a full shark head. His defining charyeok is "Greed," manifested as a growing tattoo on his left arm. Greed enables power absorption through consumption, allowing Taek to steal opponents' charyeok or physical abilities by eating them. He used this to defeat Jeon Ju-Gok, Fei-Long, and Tae Baek-Ho, gaining access to powers like Fei-Long's Doppelganger (shapeshifting and duplication) and Na Han-Sung's Aegis (force fields and attacks), though his proficiency often lagged behind the originals.

A descendant of "The King," a Heavenly Realm god, granted Taek latent divine powers. After assimilating the Nine Tails Guardian's soul, he attained the "Ninth Tail Unleashed" form, marked by blade-like arm extensions and elongated hair resembling fox ears, significantly boosting his combat power. Later, absorbing a nephilim and numerous angels triggered ascension to a god-like state, altering his appearance to feature silvery-white hair, wings, red horns, and a third eye signifying his lineage. This form granted flight and hydrokinesis, demonstrated by controlling a tsunami. However, this transformation caused Greed to spiral out of control, resulting in his death.
