TV-Series
Description
Ian Garcia is a character from the Brazilian blading team known as Team Garcias, where he battles alongside his siblings Argo, Enzo, and Selen Garcia. The team's background is that of a poor family who grew up on the streets, a harsh upbringing that shaped their aggressive and desperate desire to win at all costs. Ian is physically described as a tall and slim young man with puffed black hair and brown eyes. His typical attire consists of a dark gray top over a green shirt, light brown pants, and brown arm cuffs and shoes.

In terms of personality, Ian is portrayed as arrogant, a trait common to his team. Like his siblings, his difficult past heavily influences his approach to battles, making him a fierce competitor who is not above using underhanded tactics. He is considered the second strongest member of Team Garcias, a reputation backed by his tournament performance and skill. He is particularly noted for his mastery of the Cyclone Stadium; he is the only blader who knows the precise timing of when cyclone time begins, giving him a significant home-field advantage. Ian also seems to work particularly well in tandem with his older brother, Argo.

Ian Garcia's role in the story of Beyblade: Metal Masters is primarily as an antagonist and rival to the main protagonists, Team Gan Gan Galaxy. He is first seen in a televised match where he is defeated by Zeo Abyss. He later participates in an ambush against Yu Tendo with his siblings to damage Yu's Beyblade, Libra. His most significant battle occurs during his team's elimination match against Gan Gan Galaxy. After his sister Selen forfeits her match, Ian steps in to face Gingka Hagane in the Cyclone Stadium. Using his expert knowledge of the stadium's gimmick, he is able to overwhelm Gingka for a time with continuous cyclone attacks. However, he inadvertently reveals the counter to his own strategy, allowing Gingka to defeat him. Later in the series, Ian and Team Garcias side with the Hades City's HD Academy. He attempts to stop Nile and Team Wild Fang but is ultimately defeated by Nile. In the subsequent series, Beyblade: Metal Fury, Ian enters the 360 Sphere tournament alongside his brother Argo, where they engage in a team battle against Tsubasa, Zeo, and Toby, but they are ultimately defeated. His story continues in Beyblade: Shogun Steel, where he has become a leader of the evil organization DNA alongside the rest of his family.

Ian's development is shown through his consistent loyalty to his family and his fierce will to win, a direct product of their shared past. While he does not undergo a significant personality change, his reliance on a single powerful technique in the Cyclone Stadium proves to be a weakness that stronger opponents can exploit. Key relationships dominate his character; his entire identity is tied to his siblings. He follows the lead of his brother Argo and battles alongside him effectively, while also competing with his sister Selen and brother Enzo. His primary rival is Gingka Hagane, against whom he suffers his most notable defeat.

Ian Garcia is notable for being the only member of Team Garcias who does not use a Ray Fusion Wheel on his Beyblade. His Beyblade is named Cyclone Herculeo 105F. He has a single, named special move known as Blazer Slash, which he debuted during his battle against Gingka.
