TV-Series
Description
Gunpuku no Himegimi, whose real name is Altair, serves as the primary antagonist in her story. She is a mysterious young woman who first appears wearing a distinctive Spanish-style military uniform, complete with a large hat, and has long white hair styled into two tails with heterochromatic red and blue eyes. Her true nature is unique among the fictional characters who appear in the world; she is not from a commercially published manga, light novel, or anime, but rather a fan-fiction character originating from an online video titled Altair: World Etude. Her visual design was initially conceived by a young man named Souta Mizushino, who later gave the concept to a close friend. This friend, a young woman named Setsuna Shimazaki, took that design and brought the character to life, making her the true creator.

Unlike many of the other creations who are confused about their existence in the real world, Altair possesses a deep and bitter understanding of her situation. She is fully aware that she is a fictional being and holds a profound disdain for the real world, which she refers to as the world of the gods. Her calm and composed exterior masks an immense hatred and a singular, destructive motivation. Altair seeks to annihilate the real world and, by extension, all the fictional worlds that are born from it. This desire for total destruction stems from the suicide of her creator, Setsuna Shimazaki. Unable to forgive the real world, which she blames for the suffering and death of the person who gave her life, Altair becomes determined to erase everything as an act of revenge.

In the story, Altair acts as the primary catalyst, using her powers to summon other fictional characters into the real world. She builds a faction of allies by appealing to their own personal tragedies and grievances with their creators, as seen with characters like the revenge-seeking soldier Blitz Talker and the knight Alicetelia February. Her overarching plan is to cause a catastrophic irregulation, an overwhelming imbalance in the laws of physics by gathering too many fictional beings in one place, forcing the real world to destroy itself in an attempt to restore order. Her key relationships are largely antagonistic. She has a significant connection to Souta Mizushino, whom she recognizes as a friend of her deceased creator, and she views him with contempt. She comes into direct conflict with characters like the magical girl Mamika, who tries to appeal to her sense of friendship and save her soul, only to be met with lethal force.

Throughout the narrative, Altair remains a largely static figure in terms of personality, unwavering in her nihilistic goal. The development in her arc comes not from a change of heart, but from the revelation of her origin and the sheer scale of her power, which forces the other characters to devise a strategy not to defeat her, but to simply counter her abilities. Her role is that of an immovable, apocalyptic threat who believes her actions are a justified rebellion against the gods who created and then failed her creator.

Gunpuku no Himegimi is defined by her overwhelming and versatile abilities, most of which are granted by her primary power, the Holopsicon. This ability is described as being capable of practically anything. It allows her to fly, create and telekinetically control an unlimited number of swords for both attack and defense, and generate shields. More fundamentally, the Holopsicon lets her manipulate the very laws of cause and effect, reverse or erase the powers of her opponents, and create copies of objects. The most daunting aspect of her power is its infinite scalability. As a fan-fiction character who exists in countless derivative works and gains acceptance from a wide audience, her Holopsicon can be endlessly supplemented by these fan creations, making her nearly invincible within the context of her world and an impossible opponent to defeat through conventional means.
