Description
Alicetaria February is a fictional character originating as the protagonist of a fantasy manga and anime series titled Alicetaria of the Scarlet. Within that story, she holds the position of princess of the Holy Ulterstein Kingdom. She is a young woman of twenty years, standing 176 centimeters tall, and is often referred to by titles such as the Silver Knight or the Golden Silver Knight. Her world is depicted as a grim and desperate place, ravaged by war and misery, where corpses pile into mountains and rivers run with blood. This backdrop of constant suffering is fundamental to her character, as her primary driving force is the desperate wish to save her people and her homeland from this unending catastrophe.

Her personality is marked by an unwavering commitment to her principles and a formal, grandiose manner of speaking befitting a noble warrior. She is characterized as having powerful instincts and decisive action, though this is balanced by a certain rigidity and a tendency to be stubborn or dogmatic in her thinking. Her straightforward, chivalrous nature often makes her susceptible to manipulation, as she can be quick to act on her convictions without seeing the full complexity of a situation. While she presents a stern and resolute exterior, she also possesses a gentler, more vulnerable side that emerges in her close friendship with the magical girl Mamika Kirameki, towards whom she shows genuine care and even occasional shyness.

Alicetaria is a formidable warrior, classified as a high-defense fighter. Her combat abilities are primarily channeled through a family heirloom known as the Gauntlet of Götz von Berlichingen. This magical armament grants her a variety of powerful offensive techniques. She can summon bolts of lightning, fire powerful energy projectiles, and even call forth spectral armies of knights or archers to aid her in battle. For mobility and aerial combat, she can summon a flying white horse, which she rides into battle wielding a holy lance. Her power is significant enough that, with enhancements, she can become capable of injuring even the immensely powerful Altair. However, her straightforward combat style and reliance on direct power can sometimes be a disadvantage against more cunning or reality-manipulating foes.

Upon being brought into the real world, Alicetaria is initially one of Altair's allies. She is enraged by the revelation that her entire life and the suffering of her world are merely a work of fiction, existing for the entertainment of others in a reality she sees as decadent and corrupt. This leads her to support Altair's plan to reshape reality, hoping to change the fundamental nature of her own world to end its misery. To this end, she even kidnaps her own creator, Gai Takarada, demanding he alter her story. Her most significant relationship is with Mamika Kirameki, whose innocence and kindness provide her with hope and companionship. When Mamika is mortally wounded, Alicetaria is devastated and, through the deceptive words of the villain Magane Chikujoin, is tricked into believing that the mage Meteora Österreich was responsible, leading her to seek misguided revenge.

Throughout the narrative, Alicetaria undergoes a significant evolution. Her blind faith in Altair is shattered when she realizes she has been manipulated and that her actions have led to the death of her friend. A crucial turning point occurs when she has a conversation with Sota Mizushino, who genuinely appreciates her story, and later reconciles with her own creator, understanding that it is ultimately her own actions, not just the author's pen, that define her as a hero. She frees her creator and begins to act on her own principles rather than Altair's. In the final battle against Altair, she defects from the antagonist's side, secretly working with her former enemies. She confronts Altair directly to avenge Mamika and protect the worlds of both fiction and reality. In her final attack, she lands a blow on Altair, but the villain uses her power to reverse the cause and effect of the strike, turning the lethal damage back onto Alicetaria, which leads to her disappearance. Her legacy, however, endures as her courageous actions and final words inspire both the other creations and her own creator to continue their fight.
