Description
Kyōtarō Murata is the only son of Kyosuke Murata, the head of the Suwa Alliance yakuza organization. He is a high school student in the port town of Katsuhara, Chiba Prefecture, where he attends a school with a fisheries department. From a young age, Kyōtarō exhibits an uncontrollable and violent nature, quickly building a reputation as a formidable delinquent. He leads a gang of classmates who engage in a wide range of criminal activities, including abalone poaching, horse racing, prostitution, and illegal gambling. He is known for carrying a handgun, a shocking detail given Japan's strict firearms laws, and is willing to use it without hesitation.
Kyōtarō's personality is defined by extreme impulsiveness, aggression, and a complete disregard for authority or social norms. He is confrontational and fearless, provoking fights with older opponents and even assaulting a hostess at a Ginza club in front of shocked patrons. Despite his ruthless behavior, he possesses a strong charisma that draws others to him, as seen when he wins the loyalty of his bulky partner Mishima by tackling him into the ocean while tied to an anchor. He also shows a protective side, such as when he and his gang beat up men who harassed a schoolmate named Hidemi.
