Description
Eri Oka is a secondary character in Sagrada Reset who initially presents herself as an antagonist, defined by her rebellious appearance, her complex history with protagonist Kei Asai, and her formidable memory-manipulation ability. Her outward persona is crafted with care; she is known for her dyed burgundy hair, pink eyes enhanced by red contact lenses, and a style of clothing that projects confidence and defiance. This look is a deliberate construction, a symbol of her rebirth from a more vulnerable past.

Before becoming Eri Oka, she was Fujikawa Eri, a girl who suffered abuse from her father and saw herself as weak and worthless. Two years before the main events of the story, Kei Asai intervened in her life. He provided her with a means to escape her situation, suggesting she change her name to her mother's maiden name, Oka, and use evidence to blackmail her father if she chose to. This act of cunning, rather than straightforward heroism, profoundly shaped her worldview. She came to idolize Kei as a different kind of hero, one who operated in moral gray areas, and she adopted her new identity as a direct result of his guidance.

Eri's personality is a volatile mixture of contempt, respect, and lingering admiration for Kei. She refers to him as senpai, acknowledging his influence, yet she declares herself his villain. Her stated motivation is to become the obstacle he must overcome, believing that by testing his limits and pushing him to his lowest point, she can force him to revert to the ruthless, effective person she believes he used to be. She resents what she perceives as his softened, more passive current self and sees her role as the antagonist as a way to pay him back for saving her, by becoming the fire that reforges him.

In the story, Eri operates as a rogue agent, directly confronting Kei and his partner Misora Haruki. Her goal is to acquire a mysterious MacGuffin, but more importantly, to torment Kei by targeting those close to him, starting with Haruki. Her role is that of a personal, psychologically driven foe, distinct from the more bureaucratic obstacles the main characters usually face. Her key relationships are centered on Kei, but her actions also put her in direct conflict with Haruki, whose ability she seeks to steal. Later in the series, this adversarial relationship evolves, and Eri is eventually recruited by Kei to participate in his larger, more complex plans, becoming an unconventional ally who uses her powers for his cause.

Eri possesses a unique and dangerous supernatural ability tied to her eyes. By maintaining eye contact with a target for approximately five seconds, she can either add a false memory to their mind or subtract, or erase, an existing memory. She demonstrates the former by implanting horrific images into a person's thoughts, and the latter by making Haruki forget her own reset ability, thereby neutralizing it. A critical limitation of her power is that it cannot stack; only one memory manipulation can be active on a single person at a time. However, if a person is able to deduce what has been forgotten through external clues, the effect of her ability will fade. This power makes her an exceptionally effective strategist, capable of crippling her opponents without physical force. Throughout the series, Eri transitions from a villain shaped by her past to a key player in Kei's strategies, though she never fully abandons her sharp, confrontational edge.
