Description
Dorami is a supporting character in the 2017 film Doraemon the Movie: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi. As the younger sister of the main character Doraemon, she is a cat-like robot from the 22nd century, easily distinguished by her cobalt yellow body and the large red bow worn where ears would typically be. In this Antarctic adventure, her role is brief but significant, serving as a narrative device that foreshadows the dangers the main group will face.

Within the story, Dorami makes a voiced cameo appearance by contacting her brother through a futuristic communication device. She informs Doraemon that she has been fortune-telling, and her readings suggest that he must stay away from ice. This warning, which Doraemon casually dismisses, acts as an early signal of the extreme, world-freezing peril that awaits the characters in the icy continent. Outside of this specific interaction, her established general personality traits are consistent in the film. She is known to be a responsible, kind, and highly sensible robot who operates with superior intelligence and advanced capabilities compared to her brother. While she is eager to help others, she also believes in encouraging individuals like Nobita to solve problems on their own.

Dorami is a more advanced model than Doraemon, possessing greater horsepower and often equipped with superior or differently designed gadgets. Her signature physical features include a flower-shaped tail that functions as a power switch and a ribbon that can act as a radar. Her primary relationships are with her brother Doraemon, whom she cares for deeply but is not afraid to criticize, and with Nobita, whom she assists in Doraemon`s absence. In this particular movie, however, her role is confined to that of a brief, portentous messenger whose warning sets an ominous tone for the adventure to come.
