Description
Dadan Tadan is a character who appears exclusively in the original anime video, My Hero Academia: Training of the Dead. He is a student enrolled in the Hero Course at Yuga Academy, a rival hero school to the main setting of U.A. High School. His hero costume is fully encompassing and has a distinctly robotic appearance, constructed from metal plates in various colors such as yellow, green, blue, and red. The suit features multiple openings across its body, including on the chest, lower torso, and knees, from which he launches his projectiles. The costume also incorporates what appear to be boosters on the elbows and shoulder blades, as well as a radar-like device positioned over his left eye. Instead of a traditional helmet, the shoulder armor rises up around his head, leaving only a small opening for the upper half of his face to be visible.

Dadan Tadan has a modest and reserved personality. He is characterized as being unassuming and prone to perspiring heavily, a trait that is directly connected to the function of his Quirk. He is rarely seen without a handkerchief to manage this constant sweating.

His unique Quirk is called Missile. This ability allows him to produce a special type of sweat that serves as a combustible fuel. The mech suit he wears is designed specifically to harness this power; it collects his sweat and converts it into ammunition for a variety of missiles that he can launch from the ports on his suit. Some sources also refer to this substance as Flash Bang Sweat, indicating that the resulting explosions are not purely concussive but also emit a bright flash and a loud, disorienting sound upon impact. His fighting style therefore revolves around mid-to-long-range bombardment, capable of covering a wide area with a salvo of rockets.

Dadan Tadan's role in the story is as a participant in a joint hero training exercise between Yuga Academy and Class 1-A of U.A. High School. This particular training session, known as Training of the Dead, goes horribly wrong when a mysterious gas is released that turns many of the participants into zombie-like creatures. He finds himself in a survival scenario where heroes and students must work together to overcome this unexpected threat. Information regarding his individual character development or meaningful relationships with specific characters like Izuku Midoriya or Tsuyu Asui within this OVA is largely undocumented. Similarly, no documented information exists regarding any significant character development or change he undergoes during his appearance.
