Description
Kiko Calavento, known in the original Japanese version as Masakatsu Hiyori, is a character from Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin. He is a defender for the Raimon team, wearing the number two jersey. He originally hails from Inakuni Island, where he was a student at the local junior high school before the team's unexpected journey to Tokyo to compete in the Football Frontier tournament.

Kiko is a distinctive presence on the field, easily recognized by his short stature, blue eyes, and long white hair that flows from the sides of his head, often hidden under a gray cap. His casual attire typically consists of gray boots, gray overalls, and a white pullover with yellow stripes. His most defining personality trait is that of the team's comedian and joker. Regardless of how difficult training becomes, he maintains a lighthearted attitude and never misses an opportunity to tease and joke around with his teammate, Adriano Donati. This playful nature makes him a source of levity for the team, even during high-pressure situations.

Despite his humorous exterior, Kiko is a dedicated and observant player. He is first seen asking the team manager, Sandra Fischer, if she is feeling well, showing a caring side to his personality. Later, he watches Adriano train intensively to master a new hissatsu technique, demonstrating his awareness of the team's need to grow stronger to succeed in the tournament. Upon arriving at Raimon, he was one of the few who expected to see the original Raimon Eleven, indicating a certain level of admiration or assumption about the school's legacy, while others already knew the original team was no longer active.

Throughout the Football Frontier, Kiko evolves from a capable defender into a versatile player who can contribute to both defense and offense. In the match against Anima Sana, he learns and successfully uses his defensive hissatsu technique, Vortex de Reprise, to steal the ball from opponents and protect his team's goal. During the intense match against Royal Academy, he joins the offensive push after noticing the opposing team's slow playstyle. In a critical moment late in the second half, he combines his skills with teammates Nino Nango and César Montalbán to execute the powerful defensive hissatsu Gravitational Cage, successfully blocking Royal Academy's Emperor Penguin No. 2. This moment highlights his ability to synchronize with his teammates under pressure.

One of his most notable moments of development occurs before the match against Alia Academy. Kiko observes Maxime Dassier and Adriano Donati practicing a new combination hissatsu technique called Pas de Deux. When the opportunity arises during the match, Kiko unexpectedly steps in to partner with Maxime, executing Pas de Deux in place of Adriano. Despite the shot being slightly deflected, it still finds the back of the net, securing an important goal for Raimon. This demonstrates his quick thinking, adaptability, and his ability to seize unexpected opportunities to help his team. His journey throughout the series shows a player who, while always ready with a joke, is seriously committed to his team's success and willing to step up when needed.
