Hone Onna is one of the primary assistants to the central figure in the supernatural anime Hell Girl: Fourth Twilight. Her name literally means Bone Woman, which is a direct reference to her true nature as a yōkai, or a supernatural creature from Japanese folklore. Despite this skeletal reality, she almost always presents herself as an exceptionally beautiful and alluring woman, dressing in elegant kimonos that accentuate her appearance and wearing her hair in styles reminiscent of a courtesan from a bygone era.
