Description
Bogue Con-Vaart is a pilot from the Windermere Kingdom and a member of its elite aerial combat unit, the Aerial Knights. He is fifteen years old, stands 1.74 meters tall, and was born in early April. As the only son of the aristocratic Con-Vaart family with several older sisters, his life was permanently altered by the Windermere War of Independence. He lost his entire family during the conflict, a traumatic event that occurred when he was only seven years old and which fundamentally shapes his actions and worldview.
Driven by a deep-seated need for vengeance over the loss of his family, Bogue possesses an intense and aggressive hatred towards humanity, extending to the New United Nations Government (NUNS) and the private military organization Chaos. This fury is particularly focused on the tactical sound unit Walküre, whose members he regularly and vehemently shouts to "die" during battle. His anger often flares up visibly, causing the rune on his forehead to react. His hatred is so profound that he specifically targets his own Windermerean compatriot, Freyja Wion, whom he considers a traitor for joining Walküre. Despite his burning rage, Bogue adheres to the discipline expected of a knight, though he follows orders begrudgingly unless they come from the one person he truly respects. He holds his mentor, Hermann Kroos, in the highest regard, addressing him as Master Hermann and constantly seeking to prove himself by challenging his teacher, even attempting to attack him with a sword in training. For Bogue, being able to corner the unarmed Hermann is a personal benchmark of becoming a true knight.
Within the Aerial Knights, Bogue is the youngest and most impetuous member, prone to charging headfirst into combat without hesitation. He is a skilled pilot who specializes in transmissions and operates a Sv-262Ba variable fighter. He often employs a spinning attack maneuver while lunging forward in his cockpit. His pride is immense, and he holds a personal grudge against Hayate Immelman, feeling deeply humiliated after being outmaneuvered by him in a battle. This event fuels his vow to defeat Hayate with his own hands. In the film Macross Delta the Movie: Passionate Walküre, his role evolves significantly. He eventually becomes the new figurehead of the Aerial Knights, assuming the title of Red Knight. During the events of the film, he undergoes a considerable shift in perspective, moving from a steadfast enemy of Chaos to a temporary ally, joining Delta Flight under the call sign Delta 6.
