Kenn
Description
KENN is the stage name of Kenichirō Ōhashi, a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer born in Tokyo on March 24, 1982. He began his entertainment career with a foundation in music, serving as the vocalist and keyboardist for the rock band The NaB's starting in 2003, before the group's activities were suspended in 2006. His career has also included stage performance, with roles in musical adaptations of popular series such as The Prince of Tennis and Shugo Chara. He is affiliated with the talent agency Zynchro.
KENN made his debut as a voice actor in 2004, landing his most iconic role as the protagonist Jaden Yuki, known as Judai Yuki in the original Japanese version, in the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. This role established him as a prominent voice in the industry. Following this breakout performance, he continued to build a diverse portfolio throughout the late 2000s and 2010s, taking on leading and supporting roles in a wide variety of series. He voiced Jil in The Tower of Druaga adaptations and Hibiki Tōdō in the Pretty Rhythm franchise. He also played Akihito Kanbara in the Beyond the Boundary series and its films, a role that further solidified his presence in the anime community.
His career demonstrates significant range, encompassing action, drama, comedy, and fantasy. He has been a part of major shonen franchises, voicing Leopold Vermillion in Black Clover and its film, and Berenice Gabrielli in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. In a notable shift to a Western production with a Japanese release, he voiced the lead character, David Martinez, in the critically acclaimed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. His other roles from the extensive list provided by the user are confirmed across various sources. He is credited as Rui in the series Afterlost, Akira Kariya in Try Knights, Masahiro Saki in Ahiru no Sora, Totomaru Minowa in Kenka Banchō Otome: Girl Beats Boys, Aoi Suminomiya in Magic-kyun! A significant and recurring thread in KENN's career is his involvement in music and idol-themed anime. He is the voice of Tamaki Yotsuba, a central character in the highly popular IDOLiSH7 franchise, appearing in the main series, Second Beat!, Third Beat!, the Vibrato series, and the film IDOLiSH7 the Movie LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD.
