Namenba is a kunoichi of the Iga clan and serves as the ninjutsu teacher for the younger members of both the Iga and Kouga clans. She is married to Gorone Negoro. As an experienced and capable ninja, she demonstrates particular skill in infiltration and flight, the latter achieved by using her long garments to glide through the air, a technique that has led others to mistake her for a celestial being. Within the story, Namenba acts as a caring and protective mentor to the younger kunoichi, looking out for their well-being and guiding their development. She is one of several elders who hope that the union between Hachiro Kouga and Hibiki Iga will bring lasting peace to the two clans.
