Description
Haruko Hoketsu presides over the infirmary at Gatagata Girls' High School and advises the Do-It-Yourself Club. She frequently treats injuries sustained by club member Serufu Yua, resulting in Serufu's perfect attendance record there.

Daughter of a wealthy merchant family from Japan's Tōhoku region, this connection led Haruko to care for Kokoro Kōki during Kokoro's parents' business trips to Japan, continuing a relationship rooted in their shared childhood.

Haruko's own history includes membership in the Do-It-Yourself Club during her student years at Gatagata Girls' High School. Drawing on this experience as advisor, she helps maintain the club's official status by ensuring it meets membership requirements and provides guidance for activities, such as permitting Kokoro to participate as an external member in the treehouse project.

Her name, Haruko (治子), combines "cure" and "child," while her surname, Hoketsu (法華津), incorporates characters for "law," "flower," and "haven." Her favorite food is sukonbu kelp.
