Description
In the CGI film Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary, the Gold Saint of the Pisces Temple is a character of exceptional beauty and a tragic, fleeting presence. This version, who carries a rose and is followed by a butterfly, is known as the incarnation of beauty. While his counterpart in the original manga serves as a deliberately loyal enforcer to the false Pope, the portrayal in Legend of Sanctuary carries a different nuance. Here, he is a warrior who was deceived into serving the corrupted Pope, believing his actions were in the service of Athena. At twenty-five years old, he is noted as being the same age as Leo Aiolia.

Personality and Motivations
This version of the Pisces Saint is defined by a staunch belief that absolute power is the sole guarantor of peace. He operates under the conviction that the strongest individual has the right to rule, as only overwhelming force can protect the world from threats like divine invasions. Consequently, his allegiance is given not to an untested goddess, but to the powerful Gemini Saga, whom he believes is strong enough to fight against all threats and drive out evil. In his eyes, the pursuit of beauty and justice are one and the same, and he identifies a beautiful battle as a worthy and admirable thing. Despite his cold and distant demeanor toward his comrades, there is an underlying sense of loyalty and even compassion for those he deems worthy, and he maintains his honor and dignity as a warrior. Unlike the more overtly narcissistic portrayal in some other series, this character is more low-key and direct, a skilled warrior who enforces his will through combat rather than words, and whose masculine speech and behavior contrast with his delicate features.

Role in the Story
The Pisces Saint serves as the final guardian of the Sanctuary, protecting the twelfth and last temple that leads to the Pope. However, his actual role in Legend of Sanctuary is notably brief, with an on-screen appearance lasting only about two minutes. He is present to intercept the Bronze Saints as they attempt to break through to the Pope. His function is that of a speed bump in the narrative, a powerful adversary who is dispatched quickly to demonstrate the power of the main antagonist. In a departure from other versions where he has an extensive fight with Andromeda Shun, this version does not have a face-to-face confrontation with Shun and is instead defeated almost instantly when struck by a dimensional attack.

Key Relationships
His primary loyalty is to Gemini Saga, the false Pope. He is willing to ignore the Pope’s villainous actions and sacrifice himself to maintain the Pope's control over the Sanctuary, believing in Saga’s strength as the true path to justice. He is a servant of the Pope, and his duty is to fight anyone who tries to cross the Pisces Temple. The character is also implied to be a sex fighter who was deceived by the saga, indicating a relationship of trust that was ultimately exploited. Off-screen, he is known to have had a very lonely childhood and is an orphan who trained to become a Saint in Greenland under an unknown master to protect Athena. He is also stated to have a good relationship with fellow Gold Saints Death Mask, Shura, Milo, and Kanon.

Development
Within the limited scope of the film, the character experiences no significant development due to his short screen time. However, even in his brief appearance, a hint of his tragic nature is revealed. As he dies, he expresses confusion and regret, questioning the actions of the man he served, implying that he was loyal to a cause he believed to be just and only realized the deception in his final moments. This frames him less as a pure villain and more as a tragic figure and a capable fighter who was misled. His legacy, as with other Gold Saints, is that of a powerful warrior who ultimately gave his life in service of a sanctuary he was tricked into defending.

Notable Abilities
As a Gold Saint, his body moves at the speed of light and his fists can shatter stone with ease. His primary combat method involves the use of three types of mystical roses infused with his Cosmo. He carries a rose at all times, though he is notably unable to even throw one in this adaptation. The first is the Royal Demon Rose, a red rose whose scent and thorns contain a deadly poison that gradually robs the victim of their five senses before killing them painlessly. The second is the Piranhan Rose, a black rose with immense destructive power that can tear through anything it touches, capable of shattering even the legendary Nebula Chain to dust. His ultimate technique is the Bloody Rose, a white rose that, once thrown, unerringly seeks out the opponent's heart, plunges into it, and drains their blood until the flower turns completely red, at which point the victim dies. Beyond his roses, he possesses powerful spatial abilities that allow him to enter other dimensions, and he can communicate with plants, merge with nature to become invisible, or create massive thorny vines to bind or defend. Due to years of exposure, he is completely immune to his own poisons.
