Luca Bottale is an Italian voice actor, dubbing director, and television host, born in Milan on July 1, 1967. After completing his scientific high school education, he studied diction and acting at the Teatro Attivo center in Milan. He is primarily known for his extensive work providing Italian voices for characters in international animated series, anime, and video games. He collaborates with various Italian dubbing studios, including Merak Film and Deneb Film.

Bottale is renowned for his long-standing role as the Italian voice of Usopp in the hugely popular anime One Piece, a character he has voiced across numerous series episodes, films, and specials such as One Piece Stampede. He is similarly well-known for taking over the role of Brock in the Pokémon anime from its third season onward, lending his voice to the character in many subsequent series and movies, including Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution and The Arceus Chronicles. Another signature role is that of Gian in the second Italian dub of the Doraemon series and its associated films, such as Stand By Me Doraemon and Stand By Me Doraemon 2.

His prolific career in anime dubbing includes a wide range of other significant characters. He voices Koji Koda and Sir Nighteye in My Hero Academia, Horohoro in Shaman King, and Genta Kojima in the long-running Detective Conan series. He has also contributed to the Italian versions of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX as Zane Truesdale, Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden as Kankuro, Hunter X Hunter as Hisoka, and Fels in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III. His film work includes roles in animated features such as A Whisker Away and various Saint Seiya chapters.

Beyond anime, Bottale's voice is widely recognized in the world of video games. He is particularly celebrated for voicing the titular character Sly Cooper in the first three games of the Sly Cooper series. His other notable video game credits include Nick Scryer in Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, Thane Krios in Mass Effect 2, Phoenix Wright in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and Agent 47 in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman: Contracts.

He has also voiced characters in a vast array of Western animation, including Larry in SpongeBob SquarePants, Pleakley in Stitch!, and Athenina in Trulli Tales, a role notable for being a female character voiced by a male actor in the Italian dub.
