Description
Albert Heinrich, designated Cyborg 004, is a core member of the 00 Cyborgs with a background rooted in the Cold War division of Germany. Originally from East Berlin, he was a man who attempted to flee to West Berlin with his fiancée, Hilda. Their escape plan failed disastrously when border guards discovered his forged identification papers and opened fire on their vehicle. The crash killed Hilda and left Albert with catastrophic, life-threatening injuries.
Agents of the criminal organization Black Ghost arrived at the scene under the guise of offering medical aid. Instead, they took Albert to one of their facilities, where his severe wounds necessitated the most radical cybernetic transformation of the early 00 Cyborg prototypes. To save his life, surgeons replaced almost his entire body with mechanical weapon systems, preserving primarily his brain and much of his nervous system. This makes him the most heavily modified member of the group and, chronologically, the oldest, as he was already around thirty years old at the time of his capture.
