Description
Orion Jaga is a character from the 1987 animated film Saint Seiya: Evil Goddess Eris. His name appears in different translations and editions as Jäger, Jagger, Jaguar, or Yaga, and the kanji used to write his name reads literally as Jaguar. He is presented as a male adult with shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes, and he wears a dark cloth distinguished by its black and purple coloring and its high collar.
Jaga's background is that of a powerful Silver Saint who served the goddess Athena and fought in the Holy Wars that took place before the twentieth century. He died in one of those earlier conflicts and is later brought back from the dead by the goddess Eris, who revives five legendary warriors of the past to serve her as the Ghost Saints. Although the film is not part of the main manga storyline, the character was conceived by series creator Masami Kurumada and designed specifically for this production.
