Description
Lesia di Sagitta is a character from the 1987 anime film Saint Seiya: Evil Goddess Eris. He is one of the five Ghost Saints, a group of legendary warriors from the past who were resurrected by the goddess Eris to serve her. In life, Lesia was a Silver Saint of Athena, a guardian of the constellation Sagitta, the Arrow. His loyalty to Eris stems from the promise of escaping death and serving her in her quest for revenge against Athena.

Lesia appears as a stoic and dutiful follower of Eris, carrying out her orders without hesitation. His primary motivation is to help Eris drain Athena’s life force using the Golden Apple of Discord, thereby securing his own continued existence as a revived warrior. He does not display any personal vendetta or deeper ambition beyond fulfilling his role as a ghostly soldier.

In the film, Lesia is the first Ghost Saint to confront the Bronze Saints. He intercepts Pegasus Seiya as the heroes ascend the mountain temple where Athena is being held captive. Lesia engages Seiya in combat, relying on his archery skills. He fires a barrage of arrows, one of which is tipped with a potent poison that wounds Seiya and threatens to incapacitate him. Despite this advantage, Lesia is ultimately defeated by Seiya, who overcomes the poison and strikes him down with a powerful blow.

Lesia’s key relationship is with Seiya, his direct opponent. As a servant of Eris, he has no meaningful interaction with the other Bronze Saints or with Athena. His only alliance is with his fellow Ghost Saints, though he acts independently in battle. Lesia does not undergo any character development or redemption; he remains a straightforward adversary whose defeat marks the first step in the heroes’ journey to rescue Athena.

Lesia’s notable ability is his masterful archery, which he channels through his cosmos. His signature technique is Hunting Arrow Express, a rapid-fire volley of energy arrows. The arrows can be laced with poison, making even a graze dangerous. His fighting style emphasizes precision and long-range attacks, but he lacks the physical resilience to withstand a direct assault from a determined Bronze Saint.
