Description
Kanna Kamui hails from a dragon-inhabited world. Exiled to the human realm as punishment for disruptive pranks aimed at gaining attention from her father, Kimun Kamui, her actions culminated in destroying a significant artifact, resulting in abandonment and banishment.

Her human guise presents as a young girl with white-lavender hair in two ponytails secured by dark blue beads and featuring subtle purple tips. She possesses blue eyes and typically exhibits minimal facial expressions. Kanna conceals her dragon traits—four horns, feathered wings, and a thin tail ending in a puffy ball—though she can manifest her wings without fully transforming. Her attire merges gothic lolita and tribal influences, often including a white capelet, pink blouse, frilly skirt, and red doll shoes. Summer variants feature a light pink frock, and she sleeps in a yellow nightgown. She stands 120 cm tall. Her true form is a 10-meter feathered white dragon with blue eyes.

Kanna combines a stoic exterior with underlying emotional depth. She rarely speaks loudly or displays dramatic expressions, conveying feelings through subtle cues. Initially distrustful of humans, especially Kobayashi whom she accused of manipulating Tohru, she forms attachments quickly, leading to possessiveness over valued connections. She exhibits childlike curiosity about the human world, enjoying games, exploration, and frequent naps. A ravenous appetite sees her habitually consuming insects, small animals, and snacks. A mischievous streak from her past prankster behavior persists, though less pronounced in exile. Sensitivity surfaces during emotional moments, like crying when rejected by Riko Saikawa or confronting her father.

Her abilities include the superhuman strength common to dragons, demonstrated by throwing Tohru vast distances and competing physically with powerful dragons like Lucoa. Kanna generates and manipulates electricity but cannot self-sustain mana. She compensates by absorbing environmental mana, primarily by inserting her tail into electrical outlets for recharging. Limited by youth and inexperience, she cannot cast advanced spells like Perception Blocking.

Relationships define her development. Initial hostility towards Kobayashi shifts to deep attachment; Kanna views her as a surrogate mother, clinging physically and adopting the surname "Kobayashi" upon enrollment at Oborozuka Elementary School. She considers Tohru an older sister figure, expressing loyalty and protectiveness while using honorifics like "Lady Tohru." Romantic feelings develop for classmate Riko Saikawa, with Kanna explicitly desiring a bond mirroring Kobayashi and Tohru's relationship; mutual affection leads to marriage declarations. Familial conflict with father Kimun centers on seeking validation, culminating in demands for a replacement dragon ball after reconciliation attempts. She bonds with human friend Chloe, involving mutual aid and secret-sharing about her true nature.

Across the series, Kanna adapts to human life. School attendance fosters social growth, particularly through friendships with Riko and classmates. Her first documented smile occurs while eating omelet rice, signaling increasing emotional expressiveness. Confrontations with Kimun highlight unresolved paternal issues but also assertiveness in demanding acknowledgment. The found family dynamic with Kobayashi and Tohru solidifies her sense of belonging, reducing earlier prank-driven behaviors while retaining curiosity and occasional manipulative cuteness.
