Description
Kanna Natsuyama is a central character in the anime series The Flying House, known in Japan as Tondera Hausu no Daibōken. She is the Japanese counterpart of the character Angela "Angie" Roberts, who appears in the English-language version of the show. Kanna is a young girl who lives in the modern era. She is the older sister of Tsukubo Natsuyama, who corresponds to Corky Roberts, and she shares a close friendship with a boy named Gen Adachi, the Japanese equivalent of Justin Casey. Kanna's background is established at the very beginning of the series, as she and her brother are playing hide and seek with their friend Gen when a sudden thunderstorm forces them to seek shelter. They discover a mysterious house in the woods, which is revealed to be a time machine owned by the eccentric Professor Tokio Taimu. A malfunction during one of the professor's experiments sends the flying house, with Kanna and her friends aboard, on an unexpected journey into the past. Throughout the series, Kanna fulfills the role of one of the primary child protagonists, alongside her brother and Gen. Together, this group of young explorers witnesses and participates in numerous events from the New Testament, ranging from the birth of John the Baptist to the ministry and resurrection of Jesus and the acts of the apostles. Her key relationships are primarily with her younger brother Tsukubo, who looks up to her, and her best friend Gen, forming a core trio of adventurers who experience biblical history firsthand. She also interacts with the robot Kandenchin (known as S.I.R.) and the well-meaning but often misguided Dr. Taimu. No specific information is available in the search results regarding her individual personality traits, personal motivations beyond the general desire to find a way home, any character development arc, or any notable abilities separate from being an ordinary child caught in extraordinary circumstances.
