Description
Renzaburo Taki is the central human protagonist of the 1987 anime film. By day, he maintains the facade of an ordinary salaryman, working in the sales department of an electronics company in Tokyo. However, this is a cover for his true profession as a highly skilled agent of the Black Guard, a secret organization tasked with policing the fragile coexistence between the human world and a parallel dimension known as the Black World, which is inhabited by demons.
Taki is characterized as a cynical, hardened, and confident operative, possessing a sharp, pragmatic edge born from his experience in a secret war few humans know exists.
