Francesco Prando is an esteemed Italian actor and voice actor, born in Rome on February 22, 1960. He comes from a family with deep roots in Italian performing arts; he is the son of voice actor Marcello Prando and actress Luciana Durante, and the grandson of actors Checco Durante and Anita Durante. Prando has been active in his profession since 1985, building a prolific career that spans dubbing for live-action film and television, animation, and on-screen acting.

In the realm of animation and anime, Prando has lent his voice to a wide array of characters across various genres. He voiced the role of Roy Forest in the 2019 animated film Lupin III: Goodbye Partner. He is also the Italian voice of the antagonist Marcus Octavius in the 2007 anime film Highlander: The Search for Vengeance. For English-language animation, he dubbed the character Ultra Magnus in the Italian version of the Transformers: Robots in Disguise series. Among his notable mecha anime roles is Ryoma Nagare in the OVA series Getter Robo: Armageddon. He also provided the voice for the narrator in the anime series Idaten Jump and for the character Sutomo in Attack No. 1.

Prando's voice is also well-known for some of the most iconic roles in Western animation. He is the Italian voice of Ned Flanders in The Simpsons, a role he has performed since the fourth season. His other prominent animation roles include Ryoji Kaji in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Lion-O in ThunderCats, Li Shang in Mulan, Prince Charming in the Shrek films, and Buster Moon in the Sing films. In addition to his voice work, Prando has had a long-running role as an on-screen actor, most notably as Commissioner Carlo Angiò in the television series Incantesimo. He has also been the official announcer for the Italian television channel LA7 since 2002.

Throughout his career, Francesco Prando has received recognition for his exceptional skill. In 2014, he won the Leggio d'oro award for Best Male Dubbing Performance for his work voicing Ralph Fiennes in the film The Grand Budapest Hotel. He is renowned for being the official Italian voice of several major Hollywood actors, including Daniel Craig, Matthew McConaughey, Vince Vaughn, Jason Statham, and Michael Fassbender.
