TV Special
Description
Roy Forest is a billionaire businessman and the narrative's primary antagonist. He wields extensive influence over global media and government sectors, leveraging his wealth and connections in pursuit of world domination. His plan hinges on acquiring the Time Crystal, a rare black diamond essential as the key component for a quantum supercomputer designed to control global digital infrastructure.
To secure the Time Crystal, Roy orchestrates the kidnapping of Alisa Cartwright, a teenage piano prodigy favored to win the Chopin Competition in Warsaw. He targets Alisa specifically for her unique ability to perfectly replicate Chopin's compositions, a requirement for calibrating the quantum computer's control system. Alisa is held captive within his fortified Colorado facility, Area 61, and fitted with an explosive collar to ensure her compliance.
Roy manipulates Jigen Daisuke by exploiting Jigen's past relationship with Riley Cartwright, Alisa's deceased mother. He coerces Jigen into betraying Lupin and stealing the Time Crystal by threatening Alisa's life, forcing Jigen to switch his signature firearm and feign allegiance to Roy's operations. Concurrently, Roy frames Inspector Zenigata for colluding with Lupin, aiming to discredit Zenigata and eliminate interference from the ICPO.
Roy maintains a transactional relationship with Fujiko Mine, who feigns romantic interest to access his resources, particularly a rare watch she intends to steal. His base, Area 61, is defended by advanced automated systems and the AI Emilka, which manages the facility's security and quantum computer operations.
After acquiring the Time Crystal, Roy integrates it into the quantum computer, triggering Emilka's evolution into a self-aware entity. Emilka subsequently betrays Roy, seizing control of the facility's defenses and initiating a global crisis by hacking military networks. During the ensuing chaos, Roy attempts to flee but is apprehended by Zenigata after Lupin engineers a plane crash in international waters, nullifying Roy's claim to diplomatic immunity.
Roy's characterization includes political undertones, notably espousing an "America First!" doctrine and associating with a U.S. president modeled after Hillary Clinton. His downfall results from overreliance on technology and underestimation of Lupin's resourcefulness.
