Junichi Suwabe is a Japanese voice actor, narrator, and radio personality from Tokyo, born on March 29, 1972. He is affiliated with the talent agency Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society (Haikyō). From a young age, Suwabe was involved in media and the arts, working as a school broadcaster during his elementary and junior high years and participating in film clubs during high school and college, where he originally aspired to become a movie director. After graduating from university, where he majored in sociology and minored in Chinese, he tried various jobs before enrolling in the training school for Haikyō. He made his debut as a voice actor in 1995, initially focusing on narration work for television programs and commercials, as well as radio hosting, throughout his twenties.

Suwabe possesses a magnetic baritone voice that has allowed him to portray a wide array of characters, from cool-headed and mature individuals to wild, passionate, and even comedic roles, making him a versatile and sought-after talent in the industry. His career-defining breakthrough came with the role of Keigo Atobe in The Prince of Tennis, a character that achieved immense popularity and for whom Suwabe's character songs achieved high rankings on the Oricon music charts. This role significantly increased his anime voice work and established him as a leading voice actor.
