His primary motivation is to attain eternal youth and enhanced power, which led him to orchestrate the kidnapping of Shinyao Mu. This act was designed to provoke Baileu Ton into activating her abilities, which he intended to absorb for his own purposes.

He belongs to the organization Midnight Sun, which seeks the extinction of Umbras, though he is regarded as an outsider within the group. A practitioner of Taoist magic, he possesses the ability to summon entities using talismans.

Born into a powerful clan of magic users, Heishin killed his entire family to acquire their powers, consuming them to prolong his life and increase his magical capabilities. He created the artificial Umbra weapon Tauryu, designed for mass destruction and self-destruction, and is also the creator of the Umbra known as Jack the Ripper.

Heishin is the biological great-great-great uncle of Baileu Ton.
