Description
"Aquarion EVOL" is a 26-episode anime series set in a distant future where humanity has colonized the planet Vega after Earth became uninhabitable. The story unfolds in the city of Neo-DEAVA, where a mysterious organization called Neo-DEAVA trains young pilots to operate powerful mecha known as Aquaria. These mecha are humanity's primary defense against the Abductors, interdimensional beings that kidnap humans to harvest their life energy, known as prana.

The protagonist, Amata Sora, is a carefree and kind-hearted boy with the unique ability to float uncontrollably when emotionally charged. His life changes when he encounters Mikono Suzushiro, a shy and reserved girl who shares a mysterious connection with him. Amata is drawn to Mikono, but their relationship is complicated by the arrival of Zessica Wong, a confident and flirtatious pilot who also develops feelings for Amata. The trio becomes central to Neo-DEAVA's efforts to combat the Abductors, as they pilot the Aquaria in battles that require synchronization of their emotions and abilities.

The series explores themes of reincarnation and destiny, as it is revealed that the characters are linked to a past life on Earth 12,000 years ago. In that era, a tragic love triangle between Apollo, the reincarnated soul of Amata; Celiane, the reincarnated soul of Mikono; and Touma, the reincarnated soul of Kagura Demuri, a powerful Abductor leader, shaped the current conflict. Kagura, driven by his obsession with Mikono, seeks to reunite with her, believing she is the reincarnation of his lost love, Celiane. This connection fuels much of the tension and drama throughout the series.

As the story progresses, the pilots of Neo-DEAVA uncover the truth about the Aquaria, which are revealed to be remnants of the original Aquarion, a legendary mecha from Earth's past. The Aquaria can combine into the powerful Aquarion EVOL, a symbol of unity and hope. The battles against the Abductors escalate, culminating in a confrontation that forces the characters to confront their past lives and the choices that define their present.

The series balances action, romance, and philosophical undertones, with a focus on the interplay between love, fate, and free will. The characters' growth and relationships are central to the narrative, as they grapple with their identities and the weight of their shared history. The story concludes with a resolution that ties together the threads of reincarnation, love, and the enduring struggle between humanity and the Abductors.

1Watashi no Koe o Kikasete
In the city of Neo-Deava,Amata Sora works as a cinema usher and possesses the ability to levitate, a power he keeps hidden. During a screening, a girl named Mikono Suzushiro flees a loud noise and crashes into Amata, causing him to accidentally lift her. Moments later, alarms blare as a massive Abductor machine descends from the sky, its pilots targeting women to abduct. The facility’s Element users scramble to launch their mecha, but Cayenne Suzushiro—Mikono’s brother—hesitates after his precognitive vision shows a disastrous future involving his sister. Amata carries Mikono outside, where they encounter Zessica Wong, a skilled pilot whose attempts to form the Aquarion fail without a compatible third partner. When a falling beam traps Mikono, Amata instinctively jumps into the cockpit of the Aquarion Vector Z, linking with Zessica and Mikono to trigger the machine’s fusion. The three pilots merge into the Aquarion Gepard and destroy the Abductor, though the enemy’s parting words reveal they came specifically for Mikono. Afterwards, Cayenne confronts Amata, demanding to know why his vision of ruin was overwritten. In a parallel location, a young man named Jin reports to his superior that he has located the target: Mikono. The episode closes with Jin watching the city from afar, confirming the Abductors’ intention to return.
2The Sound of Wings
After being transported to Neo DEAVA,Amata Sora and Mikono Suzushiro meet the other members of the special forces unit known as the Elements. Commander Donar Dantes assigns the pilots to synchronization tests designed to measure their compatibility for merging into the Aquarion. During the test, Amata demonstrates an exceptional ability to sense the vector shifts of the mech, a skill he attributes to hearing the “sound of wings.” Mikono hesitates during the procedure, recalling her traumatic past experience with a mechanical accident. An Abductor attack forces the test to end prematurely, and the Elements scramble to launch their Vectors. Cayenne Suzushiro, Mikono’s older brother, experiences a precognitive vision showing his sister in danger and a mysterious winged figure. The vision fuels Cayenne’s hostility toward Amata, whom he blames for endangering Mikono. Despite the tensions, the three pilots—Amata, Cayenne, and Zessica Wong—succeed in forming the Aquarion in a three-vector combination. The unified mech unleashes a powerful attack that drives back the Abductor, but the strain of merging reveals the intense emotional and physical demands placed on the pilots. After the battle, Mikono confides in Amata about her fear, while Cayenne confronts Amata directly, warning him to stay away from his sister. The episode closes with the revelation that the Abductor forces were observing the battle and identify Amata as a key target.
3Ballad of the Shadow Angel
Amata,Zessica, and Andy continue their pilot training aboard the Neo-DEAVA battleship. During a simulation exercise, Amata’s Element ability activates uncontrollably, causing him to switch places with Zessica mid-flight. Commanding officer Donar Dantes reprimands the team for their lack of coordination. Later, a new enemy type, the Shadow Angel, descends on the city of Altair. Unlike previous Abductors, the Shadow Angel phases through conventional attacks and targets humans directly. The Aquarion deploys to intercept, but the Angel’s phasing ability prevents any direct hit. Mikono watches from the ship’s bridge as Amata struggles to connect with his co-pilots. Cayenne, who foresaw the attack, provides tactical guidance but collapses from the strain of his precognition. Zessica pushes Amata to synchronize with her, arguing that his hesitation endangers everyone. In a critical moment, Amata uses his switching power to save civilians trapped beneath the Angel, but the move leaves the Aquarion vulnerable. The Angel strikes the mecha’s core, forcing an emergency separation. Shrade, a mysterious pilot from a separate Neo-DEAVA branch, appears unannounced and engages the Angel alone, demonstrating precise control over his own elemental ability. He destroys the Angel with a single, coordinated attack. After the battle, Shrade introduces himself to the crew and takes an immediate interest in Amata’s powers. The episode closes with the revelation that Shrade has been assigned to their unit, setting up direct rivalry and unknown intentions toward Amata.
4Episode 4
Amata and Mikono enter the piloting simulator for their first practical evaluation alongside Zessica and Cayenne. Instructor Shrade initiates a mock battle that pairs Amata with Mikono in the Aquarion’s left and right arms while Zessica and Cayenne take the center and left positions of a second unit. Amata repeatedly hesitates to merge with Mikono, fearing his own uncontrollable power will hurt her. His reluctance causes the Aquarion to misfire and leaves the pair vulnerable to attacks from the opposing team. Mikono overcomes her own fear of close contact and seizes the controls, forcing the synchronization to complete. The combined Aquarion Gepard channels Amata’s elemental power into a precise burst that disables the enemy unit without collateral damage. After the exercise, Shrade privately warns Amata that avoiding his true element will endanger everyone in real combat. Meanwhile, Andy and Mix observe the match, and Mix coldly dismisses Andy’s attempts at partnership, sharpening his resolve to prove himself. In a separate development, Jin retrieves data from the fallen enemy mecha, confirming that the Neo-DEAVA base holds a target of interest to his superiors. The episode closes with Shrade’s prediction of an imminent, larger-scale abduction attempt against one of the female pilots.
5Episode 5
The Altairan military deploys a new Abductor designated Swift Star, which moves at extreme velocity. Neo-DEAVA launches its three Vector machines, but the Abductor evades all attacks and damages the base perimeter. Cayenne Suzushiro activates his precognitive ability and sees a clear vision of his own death in the battle. To avert this outcome, he proposes the forbidden Mithra Gattai combination, which demands three pilots synchronize their elements at a critical moment. Amata, Zessica, and Cayenne form Aquarion Gepard, matching the Abductor’s speed. During the synchronized state, Cayenne’s vision shifts: he survives but loses his precognitive power. The combined counterattack destroys the Swift Star, and Cayenne’s precognition vanishes permanently. Zessica watches Amata’s focus remain fixed on Mikono during the combination, solidifying her unspoken frustration. Commander Kaguya notes the Mithra Gattai’s success but warns of its inherent risks for future operations. Shrade reports that the Abductor’s pilot survived and that a larger Altairan force is mobilizing.
6Beloved Justice
The Altair forces abduct Amata and Mikono during a patrol. Neo DEAVA launches a rescue operation with the remaining Aquarion pilots. Cayenne detects the enemy’s position using his precognitive visions, but the effort strains his body. The team encounters Shrade, an Altair pilot who operates a black Aquarion and reveals himself as Cayenne’s older brother. Cayenne’s visions previously caused an accident that injured Shrade, leading to the brother’s disappearance. Shrade embraces Altair’s doctrine of absolute justice and rejects emotional bonds as weakness. He demands Cayenne discard his emotions and join him. Cayenne refuses and chooses to fight alongside his comrades. During the battle, Cayenne accepts the physical toll of his power to foresee Shrade’s movements. The coordinated assault by the Neo DEAVA Aquarion forces Shrade to retreat. Amata and Mikono are freed from captivity. Cayenne collapses from exhaustion but affirms his commitment to protect the team rather than sever connections. Shrade escapes back to Altair, determined to prove his ideology superior.
7Episode 7
The episode opens with Amata and Zessica training in their Aquarion units, practicing combination maneuvers. A new threat emerges when a rogue Abductor, controlled by the mysterious Mykage, appears and targets the Neo DEAVA base directly. The Abductor bypasses the city’s defenses and begins draining the life force of civilians. Mikono senses the danger and feels a strong pull toward the battlefield, causing her to leave the safety of the base. Amata, witnessing Mikono in peril, loses focus during the combination sequence, causing a failed synchronization with Zessica. The failure forces Zessica to eject, leaving Amata alone to confront the Abductor. Amata manages to engage the Abductor but is overwhelmed. Cayenne, using his precognitive abilities, foresees a catastrophic outcome if he does not intervene. He pilots his Vector to support Amata, successfully completing the combination to form Aquarion Gepard. Despite the new formation, the Abductor’s power proves superior, and Mykage reveals his true intent: to capture Mikono, whom he identifies as the key to awakening the legendary Aquarion. Mykage overpowers the combined forces and extracts Mikono from the battlefield. Amata, driven by desperation, attempts to pursue but is incapacitated by Mykage’s attack. The episode concludes with Mikono taken aboard the Abductor, leaving Neo DEAVA in disarray. The immediate consequences include the loss of their comrade, the revelation of Mykage as a direct and personal antagonist, and the confirmation that Mikono holds a critical, unknown power that both sides now seek to control. The closing scenes show Amata vowing to retrieve Mikono, setting the stage for a rescue mission against a foe who has demonstrated overwhelming superiority.
8Watermelon
The Neo DEAVA training camp relocates the pilots to a remote island. Commander Shrade introduces a watermelon-splitting exercise to evaluate elemental control and synchronization under informal conditions. Zessica turns the exercise into an open contest against Mikono, framing it as a competition for Amata’s attention. Zessica strikes her watermelon with precise Lightning Element strikes, shattering it quickly. Mikono hesitates, her Light Element fluctuating as Amata moves closer to encourage her. A sudden wave knocks Amata into the sea, triggering his pronounced fear of water. Mikono’s instinct to protect Amata overrides her hesitation, and her released Light Element splits her watermelon cleanly. The act demonstrates Mikono’s shift from passive reliance to active defense of Amata. Zessica watches the outcome in silence, her earlier competitive confidence hardening into visible resentment. Amata experiences a flashback to a childhood moment when water separated him from a mysterious girl, reinforcing his avoidance of deep water. The exercise concludes without an official winner, but the romantic tension among the three deepens into open rivalry. Cayenne’s precognitive vision later surfaces, hinting at a direct threat tied to Amata’s suppressed memory.
9Yami no Bara
Zessica completes handmade chocolates for Amata on Valentine’s Day. Mikono also gives Amata chocolates, and he accepts both without recognizing the romantic implications. The students depart for a hot spring resort, but an Abductor appears, forcing Neo DEAVA to scramble. During the battle, Zessica pilots the Aquarion alongside Amata and Mikono. Her unresolved feelings and jealousy toward Mikono’s proximity to Amata cause her elemental power to surge uncontrollably. The Aquarion’s limbs freeze, and the Abductor’s dark rose vines ensnare the machine. Zessica isolates herself from the others to prevent further harm, but the Abductor pulls her into a separate dimension. Amata and Mikono watch as she vanishes inside a giant rose. The episode ends with Zessica imprisoned within the Abductor’s realm, her consciousness bound to a dark duplicate of Aquarion. The remaining pilots face the immediate need to retrieve her while confronting the growing threat of the Abductors’ targeted abductions.
10The Day the Sky Falls
Kagura infiltrates Neo DEAVA during a chaotic moment and abducts Mikono, carrying her to the ruins of Altair, where the original Aquarion once stood. Amata and Zessica launch in the Aquarion Evol, pursuing Kagura’s Aquarion Spada to the ruins. Kagura engages them, demanding Mikono come with him as his destined partner. During the battle, Kagura seizes Mikono’s arm and shatters her bracelet, the device that had prevented any man from touching her. The bracelet’s destruction releases a flood of shared memories, revealing Amata as the reincarnation of Apollon and Kagura as the reincarnation of Sirius, both from the original series’ events. Amata’s determination to protect Mikono triggers a new fusion within the Aquarion Evol, transforming it into a more powerful form that overpowers Kagura. Zessica witnesses Amata’s unwavering devotion to Mikono and silently accepts that her own affection for him will not be reciprocated. Mikono experiences confusion as she feels an inexplicable attraction to Kagura despite her existing bond with Amata. Kagura retreats after being defeated, swearing he will return to claim Mikono. The episode leaves Amata resolved to stop Kagura by any means, while Mikono’s internal conflict deepens.
11Calling of the Wild
Mikage reveals to Izumo that Altair’s goal of capturing women from Vega serves to find Rear Iglers, women capable of bearing children to sustain Altair’s population. He discloses that Alicia, the sleeping woman Izumo protects, gave birth to a child on Vega before being taken to Altair, leaving the child behind. After Mikage departs, he torments Kagura in his cage, awakening the 12,000-year-old memories of Apollo and Sylvie’s love within him. The torment transforms Kagura, freeing him from the cage and driving him to seize his mech with the intent to reach Vega. At Neo DEAVA, Cayenne and Jin remain detained for their actions in the previous episode. Jin receives release while Cayenne stays confined, and Yunoha visits Jin, causing him visible embarrassment. Amata prepares to confess his feelings to Mikono in the cafeteria, but Zessica interrupts the moment by abruptly leaving to retrieve her forgotten juice. Zessica stares into a mirror and sees a vision of Kagura and Mikono in the forms of Apollo and Sylvie. Simultaneously, Kagura sees the same vision reflected in his eye as Altair’s forces attempt to stop him. A dormant power awakens within Kagura, granting him elemental wings identical to Amata’s. Using this power, Kagura breaks through Altair’s defenses, and Mikage opens the dimensional gate to Vega. Amata finds Mikono at a pond and moves to confess, but Mikono looks into the water and sees Kagura’s reflection instead of Amata’s. With the gate open, Kagura begins his crossing to Vega, bringing a direct confrontation with Amata and Mikono to the threshold.
12I'll Never Forgive You
Kagura transports Mikono to the lunar ruins, where a dormant dimensional gate to Altair remains intact. He activates a stolen Mithra Gana to defend the site and force Mikono through the gate. Amata, Zessica, and Andy launch their Vector machines from Neo-DEAVA’s carrier, pursuing without waiting for full authorization. At the gate, Amata confronts Kagura, who insists Mikono belongs to his world because she carries the soul of Sylvia. Mikono refuses Kagura’s claim, stating she decides her own path and chooses Amata. Kagura’s fury escalates, and he attacks, forcing the three Neo-DEAVA pilots into a synchronized combination. Their Vectors merge into the true Aquarion EVOL, a form that amplifies their emotions and surpasses all previous Aquarion configurations. The combined machine overwhelms Kagura’s Mithra Gana, and he retreats through the gate, which seals behind him. Neo-DEAVA retrieves Mikono, but the victory does not eliminate the threat, as Mykage watches from concealment and declares the conflict between the two worlds will now intensify. Zessica, standing apart from the reunion between Amata and Mikono, silently confronts her own growing attachment to Amata.
13The Miracle of Love and Despair
Kagura drags Mikono through the dimensional gate to Altair. Amata jumps after them, leaving the Neo-DEAVA carrier without orders. Zessica launches in the Aquarion Spada, with Andy and MIX following to support the pursuit. Mykage materializes on the battlefield and blocks the Neo-DEAVA forces from retrieving Amata. He forces the three vectors piloted by Amata, Mikono, and Zessica to attempt a merger. The Aquarion EVOL rejects the combination until Mikono willingly enters the cockpit. The three achieve synchronization, forming a new machine: Aquarion Gepard. The evolution tears a rift in space-time, allowing Kagura to escape with Mikono. Zessica confronts Amata about his fixation on Mikono, but their disagreement remains unresolved amid the chaos. Mykage declares that the birth of Aquarion Gepard initiates the revival of the legendary Aquarion. The episode ends with the Neo-DEAVA crew stranded in the Altair world, cut off from their home base and facing Kagura’s forces directly.
14Lies and Silence
Fudo summons Amata to the command center and presents a holographic genetic analysis, identifying Amata as a Mixed Breed with genetic markers from Altair. Fudo states that Amata’s father was a fallen angel and that his mother escaped Altair while pregnant. The other Element pilots react with visible suspicion; Andy directly questions whether Amata concealed his origins. Cayenne’s posture stiffens, and Shrade observes the data in silence. Mikono withdraws from the group, avoiding Amata and replaying Jin’s final words, consumed by guilt for her role in his death. Zessica notices Mikono’s isolation but says nothing, instead clenching her Element device while wrestling with her own unspoken jealousy and her growing attraction to Amata. Fudo imposes no punishment but warns that the Mixed Breed status makes Amata a primary target for Mykage. Mykage appears to Amata in a vision within a darkened void, offering him a place in Altair and freedom to wield his fallen angel heritage. Amata refuses the offer, declaring his loyalty to Neo DEAVA and his vow to protect Mikono. The Abductors launch a synchronized assault on the city, forcing all Elements to sortie despite the fractured trust among them. When Amata, Mikono, and Zessica attempt to merge into Aquarion, their conflicting emotions disrupt the synchronization, leaving the machine unstable as the first enemy units close in.
15Arma
Neo-DEAVA dispatches Amata and Zessica to the ruins of a former city to retrieve Sazanka,a missing Element who abandoned her post. Sazanka refuses to return, claiming she finds peace away from the organization’s conflicts. Amata attempts to convince her but inadvertently triggers his latent ability to merge with the surrounding wreckage, causing the ancient machinery to absorb him. Zessica and Sazanka work together to anchor Amata, yet his merging accelerates uncontrollably, forcing the team to deploy Aquarion. Inside the cockpit, Amata’s power overwhelms the system, merging the mecha with the ruins and threatening to absorb both pilots. Cayenne, monitoring from the base, confirms his premonition that Mikono’s presence will escalate the crisis. Mikono begins to sing the same melody that once calmed the original Aquarion; the sound resonates through the merged structures and stabilizes Amata’s consciousness. The group extracts Sazanka and returns to the ship, but the operation reveals the true nature of Amata’s ability: the power to unite with anything, named Arma, which mirrors the original Apollonius’s forbidden gift. The episode closes with Cayenne’s vision of Mikono’s death still unaltered, tying Amata’s growing power directly to that looming fate.
16God's Prayer
Mykage reveals his intention to use the Aquarion to reenact the original sin and trigger the world’s destruction. Cayenne’s precognitive visions uncover fragments of the past, showing the original Aquarion functioned as a weapon rather than a savior. Mykage confronts the pilots directly, stating their reincarnated selves are fated to repeat the same tragedy. Amata and Mikono attempt to merge in the Aquarion but fail due to unresolved emotions that block their synchronization. Jin and Yunoha discover a hidden chamber and witness a vision of their previous incarnations as lovers who perished in the original cataclysm. The vision solidifies Jin’s resolve to protect Yunoha, yet he recognizes his allegiance to Mykage endangers her. The Festival of the Sun begins, forcing all forces to converge at the sacred Altair site. Mykage activates the original Aquarion’s core, tearing the sky open and warping reality across the battlefield. Cayenne loses control of his vision and collapses, while Zessica suffers a sudden surge of violent impulses from her past-life memories. The episode concludes with the main cast trapped inside a collapsing dimensional field as Mykage announces the start of the final ritual.
17Black Rainbow
Kagura pilots the Black Aquarion and breaches Neo DEAVA’s defenses, targeting Mikono directly. Amata confronts Kagura in the Aquarion Evol, but Mikono’s sudden physical pain interrupts the synchronization. Mikono collapses as visions of a past life—memories of Silvia and Apollonius—overwhelm her consciousness. Zessica monitors Mikono’s biological data and confirms that the memories are not hallucinations but genuine genetic recall. Kagura declares that Mikono belongs to him, citing their shared past as the reason for his obsession. Amata refuses to accept Kagura’s claim and re-engages the Black Aquarion, forcing a destructive clash over the city. During the battle, the Black Aquarion absorbs energy from the surrounding environment, creating a localized storm of dark light. Mikono, regaining brief clarity, calls out to Amata, which strengthens his resolve to continue fighting despite the damage to his machine. Kagura’s relentless pursuit stems from his incomplete reincarnation, leaving him unable to fully connect with his own past. As the conflict escalates, a massive black rainbow forms in the sky, signaling a dimensional distortion that threatens to consume both mecha. Neo DEAVA command scrambles to evacuate the base while the two pilots remain locked in combat, unwilling to retreat. The black rainbow expands, trapping Amata and Kagura in a separate space where their conflict must reach a definitive end.
18Elegy of the Soul
Kagura drags Mikono into the ruins of the original Aquarion. Amata,Zessica, and the remaining Neo-DEAVA members pursue in their own Aquarion units. The original Aquarion detects the arrival and seals the ruins with a barrier, trapping Kagura and Mikono inside. The machine forces both to witness a vision of the past life from 12,000 years ago. The vision shows Apollonius and Sylvie during the original betrayal. The original Aquarion reveals that a winged being cursed Apollonius, splitting his soul into two halves. Kagura carries the half driven by instinctual desire, while Amata carries the half shaped by love and memory. Mikono stands as the direct reincarnation of Sylvie. Amata, watching the vision from outside through the barrier, understands his own connection to Apollonius. Kagura inside the ruins demands that Mikono accept her past identity and choose him as the true heir. Mikono hesitates, torn between the flood of past-life emotions and her current feelings. The barrier dissolves, leaving Kagura and Amata face to face. Both recognize each other as fragments of the same original soul. Their conflict escalates from a rivalry over Mikono into a confrontation over which half inherits Apollonius’s will. Mikono’s suppressed memories begin to surface, altering her perception of both men. With the full truth of the soul division exposed, the next battle forces Amata and Kagura to decide whether to unite or destroy one another.
19First Reunion
With Fudo still absent a week after his departure,Mikono leaves the Neo-Deava academy to search for him despite knowing no specific destination. Mykage appears before Zessica and offers to open a dimensional gate to Altair in exchange for future compensation, placing a seal on her forehead. A strike team consisting of Amata, Zessica, Yunoha, Andy, and Shrade assembles to pass through the gate and rescue Mix from Altair. The team infiltrates the other world and discovers a city populated entirely by men, revealing the planet's inability to sustain women. When Andy’s impulsive actions alert security, the group splits, with Zessica, Yunoha, and Shrade acting as decoys while Amata and Andy proceed to Mix’s location. A captured guard tricks the pair, leading Andy to sacrifice himself as a decoy to allow Amata to escape. During his flight, Amata stumbles upon a hidden room where he finds his mother, Alicia, suspended in a capsule. Meanwhile, the guard who deceived them removes their helmet to reveal the face of Mix, who has physically transformed into a male due to prolonged exposure to Altair’s environment. The episode closes with Amata’s emotional reunion with his mother and the team scattered on an enemy world, with Mix’s altered state leaving her fate and Andy’s reaction uncertain.
20Mikage
Mikage summons the Neo-DEAVA members to the central altar and reveals his true identity as a Shadow Angel who orchestrated the war between Altair and Vega. He severs the dimensional barriers, causing both worlds to begin collapsing toward each other. Amata, Mikono, and the other pilots attempt to stop him but find their Vectors unresponsive. Kagura breaks Mikage’s psychic hold, attacks him directly, and demands the truth about his manipulated past. Mikage absorbs Kagura’s assault and explains he engineered the events to force a reenactment of the original Aquarion’s legend. Shrade expends his remaining life force to shatter Mikage’s defensive field, enabling the pilots to form Aquarion Evol. Mikage counters by assuming a giant angelic form and captures several members, threatening to consume them. Amata taps into an unexpected elemental power within Aquarion Evol, releasing enough force to free the captives and drive Mikage back. The victory proves temporary as Mikage disappears into a collapsing dimension, vowing to return with greater control over the merged worlds. The crew regroups, now aware that Mikage’s plan remains intact and that stopping him will require risking everything.
21Kōri no Sekai
Mikono Suzushiro isolates herself in her quarters and refuses to speak with anyone after Jin’s death. Amata Sora repeatedly attempts to reach her,but she deflects his efforts and blames herself for not preventing Jin’s sacrifice. Neo-DEAVA forces detect an incoming Abductor attack, and the pilots mobilize to intercept. During the battle, the enemy deploys a formation that forces the Aquarion into an unstable merge, triggering a fragmented memory from the original Aquarion’s pilot, Apollonius. The vision reveals the moment the world first froze, directly linking the current conflict to the original war against the Shadow Angels. Shrade’s song destabilizes, and the three pilots experience shared memories that expose their past-life connections. Mikono, still inside the base, senses the disturbance and feels the pull of her own suppressed memories. Zessica Wong struggles with her unrequited feelings for Amata while witnessing his persistent focus on Mikono during the psychic feedback. The unstable Aquarion strains all three pilots physically, nearly causing the machine to collapse. Cayenne Suzushiro, using his precognition, sees a vision of Mikono vanishing, which drives him to intervene despite his usual detachment. As the battle ends, Mikono emerges from seclusion with a hardened expression, signaling her intent to take direct action. The episode closes with the implication that the true obstacle lies not merely with the Abductors but with the mechanism sustaining the frozen world.
22Mikage
Mikage reveals his true form as a fallen angel and absorbs the combined Aquarion Gepard and Aquarion Spada. He strips the Elemental powers from the pilots, leaving them unable to summon their vectors. Mikage discloses his millennia-long plan to become a true god by harvesting the souls of humanity. Amata and Mikono confront him inside the Aquarion’s core, where Mikage forces Amata to witness the truth about his birth. The episode confirms that Amata is the son of Apollon and Silvia from the original Aquarion. Mikage attempts to erase Mikono’s memories and rewrite reality to his will. Zessica, having merged with the Aquarion Gepard earlier, struggles against Mikage’s control but fails to stop him. Kagura breaks free from his conditioning and attacks Mikage, but his efforts prove futile. The episode ends with Mikage ascending to a higher plane, taking the combined Aquarion with him and leaving Neo-Deava powerless. The remaining crew members regroup, realizing they must find a way to defeat a being who has transcended their reality.
23Yami no Requiem
Kagura drags Mikono into the Abductor city and demands she acknowledge him as her destined partner. Amata and Neo-DEAVA pursue, but the city reveals itself as the original Vega, the planet humanity abandoned millennia ago, halting their assault. Mikono learns her ancestor, the first Aquarion pilot, split humanity and the Abductors through a forbidden love. Mykage unveils his scheme: he engineered the war to force the reincarnations of the original pilots to reunite and break the seal holding the Shadow Angels. Zessica, consumed by jealousy and Mykage’s dark influence, loses control of her Aquarion and attacks both sides. Amata combines with Kagura to form Aquarion Gepard, temporarily stopping Zessica, but the fusion forces Amata to experience Kagura’s memories and their shared origin. The confrontation reveals Amata and Kagura as two halves of Apollon’s reincarnated soul, split by Mykage’s curse. Mikono rejects Kagura’s claim, declaring her love for Amata, which shatters Kagura’s belief in destiny and leaves him vulnerable. Mykage exploits this emotional collapse to complete his ritual, transforming Kagura into a mindless beast and collapsing the dimensional barrier. The Shadow Angels begin descending upon the merged world as Zessica, fully corrupted, launches a final assault on Amata.
24Aquaria
Neo-DEAVA launches a final assault on Altair. Mykage merges with the legendary Aquarion Gepard and deploys it against the combined fleet. Amata pilots the Aquarion Spada and engages Mykage directly. Kagura breaks Mykage’s psychic hold, rejects the manipulation, and aligns himself with the Neo-DEAVA pilots. Mikono stands before Amata and Kagura, states her feelings for both, and forces them to acknowledge the triangle openly. The three merge their vectors and form Aquarion EVOL, attaining a unified configuration that counters Mykage’s power. Mykage reveals Amata’s origins as the reincarnation of Apollonius and explains that Amata’s mother sealed the original Aquarion through her own death. The battle destroys the dimensional gate, cutting off Altair’s invasion forces from their home world. Zessica attempts to intervene out of jealousy, but her vector is disabled, and she is left on the sidelines. Mykage withdraws rather than face total defeat, preserving his ability to continue scheming. The dimensional rift closes, leaving the two worlds isolated once again. Amata, Mikono, and Kagura accept that their fates remain bound together, with no clear path forward as Mykage’s influence still lingers.
25Fragment of Adam
Amata attacks Kagura, blaming him for the deaths of his parents, Izumo and Alicia. Kagura responds that the true architect of his suffering is Mykage, who raised him in isolation. Their clash opens a dimensional portal that places the planet Altair on a direct collision course with Vega. Andy endures relentless attacks from a brainwashed MIX but refuses to fight back, declaring that his love transcends her physical transformation. His persistence breaks through her conditioning, restoring her memories and bringing her back to the Neo-DEAVA forces. Mykage, having fully consumed Zessica’s body, takes Mikono and Kagura captive to complete his revenge. He forces Kagura and Mikono to unite within the Legendary Aquarion, corrupting it into his own machine, the Ancient AQ. Fudo reveals his true identity as Apollonius, the being who first opposed Mykage 24,000 years ago, positioning himself as the final obstacle. With the two worlds approaching annihilation and Mykage wielding the corrupted Aquarion, the surviving Elements face a seemingly invincible enemy.
26Aquarion EVOL
Neo DEAVA and the Altairian remnants converge on the Holy Ground for the final assault. Mykage manipulates Kagura and Amata into a duel intended to sever all human bonds.
