Justin Cook is an American voice actor, ADR director, audio engineer, and line producer extensively involved in the English dubbing of Japanese anime. He was born Justin Ryan Cook on April 4, 1982, in Austin, Texas. He is affiliated with the anime dubbing companies Funimation (now Crunchyroll) and OkraTron 5000. He is also the cousin of fellow voice actor Aaron Dismuke.
Cook's career in the anime industry began over two decades ago, with his first role being as an ADR engineer on the Dragon Ball Z series. Since then, he has built a multifaceted career, becoming a prominent producer and director in addition to his voice acting work. He has served as a line producer or producer on numerous anime series, including Yu Yu Hakusho, Fruits Basket, One Piece, and Fairy Tail. He has also worked as an ADR director on titles such as Yu Yu Hakusho and Fruits Basket.
As a voice actor, Cook is perhaps best known for his iconic role as Yusuke Urameshi in the Funimation dub of Yu Yu Hakusho. He is also a recurring voice in the Dragon Ball franchise, providing the voices for several characters including Dende, Raditz, and Super Buu across various series, films, and video games.
In addition to these foundational roles, Cook has voiced a wide array of characters in many popular series.
