Description
In a post-apocalyptic world, humanity faces constant threats from shadowy beings known as Shadow Angels, who seek to harvest human life force to sustain their own existence. The story is set 12,000 years after a catastrophic event called the Great Catastrophe, which nearly wiped out civilization. To combat the Shadow Angels, humanity relies on advanced biomechanical mecha called Aquaria, which are powered by the life force of their pilots. These mecha can combine into a more powerful form known as Aquarion, a legendary weapon said to have ended the previous war with the Shadow Angels.
The narrative centers around Apollo, a feral and impulsive young man with mysterious origins, who possesses a unique connection to the Aquarion. He is discovered by DEAVA, an organization dedicated to defending humanity, and recruited as a pilot. Apollo’s arrival coincides with the re-emergence of the Shadow Angels, led by their enigmatic commander, Toma. As Apollo trains alongside other pilots, including the disciplined and reserved Silvia de Alisia and her brother Sirius, tensions arise due to his unpredictable nature and his growing bond with Silvia.
