Takuma Terashima
Description
Takuma Terashima is a Japanese voice actor and singer born on December 20, 1983, in Ishikawa Prefecture. He began his career in 2004 after graduating from the Tokyo Announce Gakuin voice training school. His first major role and television anime debut came in 2005 as the protagonist Apollo in Genesis of Aquarion.
Terashima has been affiliated with several talent agencies throughout his career. He initially worked with Holy Peak before moving to Production Baobab in early 2009. In September 2011, he transferred to Axlone, the agency founded by fellow voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa, where he continues to be represented. In addition to voice acting, Terashima launched a solo singing career in 2012 with the release of his first album, magic words, under the Lantis record label.
Terashima is recognized for his vocal versatility, capable of portraying a wide range of characters from high-pitched and playful roles to those requiring a low, deep voice. He is also known for his work as a singer, and his vocal abilities were honored at the 6th Seiyu Awards in 2012, where he won the Singing Award as a member of the ST☆RISH unit from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise.
His extensive filmography includes a multitude of prominent roles across various anime series. He plays Otoya Ittoki in the long-running Uta no Prince-sama series, Shiroe in Log Horizon, and Shiki Granbell in Edens Zero. He voices Leonhart Saijo in The Irregular at Magic High School franchise and Lay Glanzudlii in The Misfit of Demon King Academy. Other notable roles include Satoru Mikami in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Atsushi Sendo in Tokyo Revengers, and Shintaro Kisaragi in Mekakucity Actors. He has also taken on roles such as Desir Herrman in A Returner's Magic Should Be Special, Jingi Sagawa in Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds, and Raido in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai. Beyond animation, his work includes voicing the title character Ultraman Taiga in the Ultraman series.
Terashima married fellow voice actress Satomi Sato on July 6, 2017, and the couple announced the birth of their first child in December 2021.
