Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old part-time worker, discovers that his middle school girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother, Naoto, have been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Overwhelmed by guilt and regret for his aimless life, Takemichi is suddenly thrust back in time to his middle school years after a mysterious incident on a train platform.
