Yūya Hirose is a Japanese voice actor born on April 9, 1996, in Chiba Prefecture. He has been active in the industry since 2013 and is affiliated with the talent agency Arts Vision.

Hirose developed an interest in voice acting during elementary school and trained at the Nihon Naration Engi Kenkyūjo, a voice acting school. After completing his training, he joined Arts Vision in 2014, marking his official entry into the professional world. His debut anime role was as Lloyd Andō in the series Chronicles of the Going Home Club in 2013. The early part of his career consisted of supporting roles in various series, including Handa-kun and Tsuki ga Kirei.

His breakthrough role came in 2018 when he was cast as the protagonist, Yūta Hibiki, in the anime series SSSS.Gridman. This lead performance significantly raised his profile in the industry. He has since taken on a variety of main and supporting roles. Some of his notable anime characters include Takuma Akutsu in Val x Love, Shun Amagiri in O Maidens in Your Savage Season, Takuya Yamamoto in Tokyo Revengers, Lawrence Larry Jackson in Deep Insanity: The Lost Child, Alto Goldfield in Vermeil in Gold, Hanzō in The Little Lies We All Tell, and Yūki Wakura in Chained Soldier. He is also known for his role as Haruka Isumi in the long-running IDOLiSH7 franchise.

Hirose has a notable working relationship with producer Yuki Watanabe. Watanabe, who produced SSSS.Gridman, later recommended Hirose for the lead role of Yūki Wakura in Chained Soldier, citing his ability to portray both youthfulness and strength as seen in his earlier work. Hirose has expressed his happiness at reuniting with fellow cast members from SSSS.Gridman for this project.

In addition to his anime work, Hirose has voiced characters in numerous video games, such as Cruz Carpent in Ys X: Nordics and Shuuji Kayama in Digimon Survive. He has also appeared in live-action tokusatsu, providing the voice for the character YouPi in the series Ultraman Arc.

In 2019, Hirose won the Best Funny Radio Award at the 5th Aniradi Awards for co-hosting the SSSS.Gridman Radio: Toriaezu UNION show. His growing international recognition was marked by his appearance as a guest of honor at Anime Boston in 2024.
